Novel TEASER from “BLINDNESS” by Author Ginger Scott:

Cody is still next to me, his grip on my hand once again strong, but his body is stiff. I’m rewinding mentally, realizing just how far I went. Shit! I said way too much! I don’t even know what I’m doing here. This all suddenly feels way too intimate—wrong. My pulse is speeding up the more I think about what Trevor would think if he saw me, saw this—saw us!

I slide the pillow from my chest to the side and work my fingers until they’re out of Cody’s grip. He remains next to me, but isn’t moving. I’m pretty sure I just made him feel unwelcome in his own bed, the awkwardness creeping in now and almost choking me. I have to leave, leave this bed and then leave this room. I’ll be calm until I shut his door, and then I’m running.

Yes, that’s it. I’ll run.

“Oh God, I’m sorry. I just unloaded, like, way too much on you. I’m…I’m just going to go,” I say, pushing myself up to sit at the side of the bed and slip on my shoes. The light is dim, but I can tell that Cody’s eyes have shifted to me. He’s still not moving or speaking, and I don’t really want him to. I just want to get out of his room without him saying a word.

“Thank you, truly,” I say as I stand and look once more at the ceiling. “The stars? They’re amazing,” my voice wavers, and I turn and walk to his door. I’m gripping the handle, willing myself to keep it together for just a few more seconds until I’m out of his view, when I feel his body behind me and see his hand flat against the door.

His breath against my neck raises every hair on my body. I’m looking intently at his fingers splayed out on the wood paneling of the door in front of me, my hands still gripping the door handle. Beyond this door, my life continues on one path—a path I know. A path I love. But I’m stalled, considering what happens if I stay in this room. I’m paralyzed. Fear. Indecision.

“Cody, I…” I start, but don’t know how to finish.

“Just stay,” he says, his voice barely audible, and the air released from his words sends more chills around my neck and down my entire body.

“Just…” I hear him swallow, and even though I can’t see him, I know he’s struggling. I keep my eyes forward and watch his fingers curl into a fist on the door, clinching tightly. “I won’t…I wouldn’t make you uncomfortable. I’m not asking you to do anything. Please…please just stay,” his head falling flat against the back of mine as he speaks. I can feel him breathe me in, and I feel like I’m racing down a hill, lightheaded from the conflict brewing inside.

“Okay,” I whisper, not even aware that it was me speaking. I’m on autopilot, turning away from the path I know and recognize on the other side of the door, but desperately worried that it won’t be there when I finally leave this room.

Cody’s hand slides from the door to my shoulder, and I shiver as he traces the back of his fingers down the length of my arm until he finds my hand once again. He pulls me to him, forcing me to turn into his body. I keep my eyes focused on the words on his shirt, reading the dates and towns to myself. Some tour shirt—a concert, perhaps? Or maybe a race? I’m trying to keep my mind busy with this pointless task when Cody reaches for my chin and pulls my face to look at his.

His eyes are serious. Even in the darkness of his room, I can see the flecks of blue—I’m that close. I watch them as they move to the side of my face to follow his hand as he pushes my hair away from my face slowly, tucking it behind my ear but leaving it there, his fingers tangled deep within my hair. He tilts his head to the side, and I think for a moment that he’s about to kiss me. I lick my lips on instinct, and I feel him tense up from it.

His hand forces me forward into him and I close my eyes, almost believing that if I don’t see it coming I won’t be able to stop it. I feel his chest press to mine next, then his hand wraps deeper into my hair so he’s cradling the back of my head. His other hand slides up my side to the middle of my back, and his chin comes down above my head so I’m completely tucked within his embrace. I’m sheltered, and it’s the first time I’ve ever felt my heart actually stop from being in someone’s arms.

Giving in, I bring my hands up Cody’s back so I’m hugging him tightly to me, my fingers gripping at his torn T-shirt. I slide my face flat against him and let out everything I’ve been holding in—it feels like for years.

Superman: Dawn Of Justice” has begun.   As for the added ‘Dawn Of Justice’ to the title, I can understand it.  Meaning it is the dawn of the ‘Justice League’, especially since it will have Justice League characters: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman in the film. Who is excited for the film?

As if the DC Comic fan world was not jumping with excitement already with the news of two of their biggest known characters, Batman and Superman teaming up in the Man Of Steel sequel film “Batman vs Superman”.  And now that we wait anxiously and happily for this sequel film, it’s great news to hear that another DC superhero will be joining the two male characters.  For the females who love to have a lady to admire and men who can appreciate a strong female heroine, Wonder Woman will be the third character to join in the Man Of Steel sequel “Batman vs Superman” due out in 2016.

Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder have cast Israeli-born actress Gal Gadot in the iconic role and the Wonder Woman character will be a part of the film that will see Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck square off as Superman and Batman. Gadot has been in three Fast & Furious films, as well as Knight And Day and Date Night.

We truly hope that this is all gearing-up toward a long-awaited Justice League film which would be based on the DC Comics characters.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ of the Novel ‘Sweet Home’:

When I first began reading the ‘Sweet Home’ novel by Tillie Cole, I honestly will admit that I giggled at the names of the main characters.  It came across as both a little humorous and some kind of poetic jest but as I kept reading, I realized that the two main character’s names, Molly Shakespeare and Romeo Prince, would actually be quite beneficial to the story itself.  I’m a fan of football(American) so that was a nice bonus to the story. Here’s a story of two self-proclaimed star-crossed lovers who would find that their secret dark pasts, that still linger and haunt their present, would find the chance at love and a sense of peace with each other.

Molly Shakespeare was a definite bookworm, introvert, who seemed to keep her mind off of the pain of her past sad life experiences by studying and working hard academically.  She comes across as almost virginal yet not quite naive, except for the topic of American football.  That isn’t a shock since she’s from England and now attending college in Alabama, U.S.A.  She wears her thick framed glasses, dresses comfortably and not really caring about being stylish, and keeps her hair usually up.  Her life has simply been to eventually get her PhD and become a professor of philosophy and that has been her main focus.  She has a couple of friends who are a nice contrast to herself and each other and makes another good friend after joining a Sorority hesitantly.

There is always a nemesis and one of Molly’s, is a fellow student who has her heart set on being her tormentor and Romeo’s love interest, while others are introduced after Molly get’s closer to the young QB football star named Romeo Prince.

Starting quarterback and college football star, Romeo Prince, seems like an all around super star in the world of college football and with the ladies.  His dirty blonde hair, fit physique with slightly tanned skin and handsome good-looks seem to make him the perfect catch.  Also the fact that he’s the son of a rich oil tycoon and a talented athlete aren’t downfalls either to everyone on the outside.  But inside Romeo, who prefers to be called ‘Rome’,  has dark secrets that tear at him everyday of his life.  Those dark secrets seem to be the reasons behind his occasional hot temper and explosive reactions towards people who rub him the wrong way. Romeo has that Alpha-male personality that you can love one minute and then get frustrated by, but when you see why he is the way he is, you begin to understand what he’s about.  This was the life of Rome Prince, up until he met ‘nerdy-esque’ Molly Shakespeare.

Two lives collided in a way that seemed hard to ignore for Rome.  Molly couldn’t understand why she had this growing need to get to know Rome just about as much as he was obsessing with the same thoughts about her.  As much as they started feeling a connection with each other, there would be strong interferences from others who wanted nothing more than to keep them far apart, no matter the consequences.  I do highly recommend this New Adult genre novel for readers who enjoy a story about triumph over tragedy, learning to love again and realizing that family isn’t always who you expect it to be. I really enjoyed this novel and will definitely continue the ‘Sweet Home Series’ as the stories continue.

Molly to Rome:  “My body recognizes you as something that’s good for me.  My mind recognizes you as someone who’s right for me, and my soul recognizes you as someone who is meant for me.”

The Plot Summary and My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ of ‘Jake Undone’ combined:

First off, “Whoa!” That is definitely one word that describes how I felt when I first saw the cover for ‘Jake Undone’ by author Penelope Ward. 🙂 It’s always a plus when a great cover precedes, followed by an absolutely great story who’s characters draw you into the storyline. The story follows Jake Green and Nina Kennedy who meet after becoming roommates in Brooklyn, begin to develop a friendship but secrets seem to lurk around every corner that could jeopardize their growing relations. This novel is a part of the New Adult Genre and as the reader, you get to enjoy the story told in the two P.O.V.’s(Point Of Views) of Nina and Jake.

Nina Kennedy just moved to Brooklyn to live with her older brother’s best friend Ryan from high-school and two other roommates that share a four-bedroom apartment. She has big blue eyes, her hair color is dirty blonde, and she was always compared to the Olsen Twins by her older brother and Ryan growing up. She get’s an interesting surprise on her first day at the new apartment when she arrives, but doesn’t let anyone know what she overheard right off. Brooklyn would become her home while she attends a nursing school nearby. Nina has a few fears that she has learned to live with instead of actually facing them, fears such as elevators, subways and anything else that could make her feel trapped. While talking to the old family friend and roommate Ryan, in walks the other male roommate, Jake.  Nina can’t seem to shake this instant attraction to him even though he is nothing like any guy she’s ever known or dated. Nina had no idea how much Jake would surprise her the more they get to know each other.

Jake Green has dark hair with green eyes, a well-sculpted body; his arms have tattoos and he has a few facial piercings that include his eyebrow and lip piercing. One look at him, and anyone who didn’t know better would automatically assume he was trouble. The only thing is, there is more to him than meets-the-eye.  Jake is a smart engineer who most assume is a womanizer, and who might not be up to any good because he’s such a secretive guy that no one really knows much about. His own roommates had no clue about why Jake would always travel back home to Boston every weekend and he liked keeping it that way. His love for bananas was adorable and the line ‘I love you to the moon’ just warms the heart when you read how that ties into Jake’s character. Behind his exterior and his sarcastic and flirtatious personality, there are reasons he chose to keep most of his private life a secret from others. This seems to work fine for him, until Nina walks into his life, changing everything completely.

I honestly have to admit, this story was truly entertaining and enjoyable.  I kid-you-not. I laughed at the sarcastic conversations the characters had, I teared up when times got tough, my heart warmed for the truly touching moments, and the song ‘Yesterday’ was so fitting for the scene it was a part of.  And I can’t forget to mention the sexy scenes, which were really hot and steamy! 🙂 I absolutely recommend this story because there is a high chance it will leave you, the reader, ‘undone’ and you’ll be happy it did.  It reminds you that you can’t always judge someone at first glance; things happen for a reason even if the the reasoning comes at a later time and reminds you that everyone has their own demons they may be struggling to battle with in life.

Nina meets Jake:  Come to think of it, Jake was like a black cat- gorgeous, but very likely bad luck if it crossed your path.  “Nice to meet you, Jake.”

Nina’s thoughts:  I had a lot on my mind, from anxiety about classes starting Monday to my unwanted attraction to my tattooed, pierced, smoking hot roommate, who based on first impressions, was quite likely a man-whore.

Nina to Jake:  “I never thanked you for my bat.”-Nina.   He said nothing, just smiled, winked and stuck out his tongue in jest.  For the first time I noticed it was pierced too.  Damn.

Nina’s thoughts:  I had yet to meet someone like Jake:  dark and dangerous on the outside but smart and clever on the inside; someone who owned a room the second he stepped into it.

Jake and Nina:  Jake’s eyes darkened and met mine.  “Sometimes if you are willing to withstand a little pain in life, Nina, you might discover a pleasure that you never would have otherwise known existed.”-Jake.

Tarrah to Nina:  “I’ve seen the way Jake looks at you when you don’t even realize it.  I don’t know what he did or said or didn’t say last night, but the dude does have feelings for you.”-Tarrah.   “I guess it’s just… complicated.”-Nina.

Nina’s thoughts:  He brought me back to life.  He brought me back to life, and he could very well be the death of me all over again.  It would be worth the risk.  But he’s holding all the cards. 

Nina’s thoughts:  Lesson learned.  People are not always what they seem on the surface.

Jake to Nina:  “I have tried so hard to stop these feelings.  I have put up so many barriers as I could stand to, but they are crumbling down.  I can’t do it anymore.”

Jake’s thoughts:  She made me feel alive after years of being emotionally dead.

Jake:  “My body belongs to you.”
“My heart belongs to you.”
“My soul belongs to you.”
“Only to you.”

The book ‘Maybe This Time’ is the first of the ‘Maybe Series’ by author Chantal Fernando. If you have a thing for the Alpha-male, bad-boy book-boyfriends, then this book will be to your liking. There is not just one or two to pine and swoon over, there are many. And the good thing about these swoon-worthy Alpha-males is that they are all attractive men and very protective. With this story you meet Summer Kane who moves in with her younger brother Xander Kane who she had never met in person before. ‘Maybe This Time’ is written with two P.O.V.’s(Point of views) but mostly in Summer’s view, with a little bit of Reid’s view. Who is Reid, you ask?

Reid Knox is friends with Xander Kane, Summer Kane’s brother. Reid has an identical twin brother named Ryan who runs a bar with him. Reid is a tall blonde, with muscles in all the right places, sexy, with blue eyes and a scar that just adds to his mystery and edge. Did I mention sexy? He also comes across as a mysterious, frustrating, temperamental, protective and has all of the qualities of a true Alpha-male. Right away, Reid seems to be the broodiest of all of Xander’s friends when Summer first meets him. And right away, they don’t get along. At first…

Summer Kane is caring but she also has an upfront personality that keeps her from being completely drowned out or stepped on by others. She is beautiful with her dark hair and dark eyes and they never fail to let her know how beautiful they think she is. She had never met her younger half-brother Xander, until moving in with him to get to know him. Summer and Xander share the same father but have different mothers. Summer’s always felt a disconnect with her father Jack because he was usually absent from her life except for the once a year visits on her birthday. Her mother had always told her that her father and brother Xander were losers and criminals. But when Summer decides to move in with Xander at 19, she finds out if her mom was right or wrong about the men who are the family she is just about to get to really know. There is one thing Summer didn’t expect, and that was meeting the other men who consider her father Jack and her brother Xander their family too.

Let’s discuss the men in the story: ALL of them have Alpha-Male tendencies so be ready for that!:) They protect ‘their own’ and anyone that is family to Jack and Xander, is included. Which means Summer will have many hot men looking out for her. Lucky girl! Reid, Ryan, Dash, Tag, her father Jack and brother Xander are all hot and attractive men who like to put time in at the gym. The reason for so much gym time is because of the secret world they are a part of and because it keeps the ladies around.

‘Maybe This Time’ invites you to the underground world of organized fights (MMA style) and you’ll also find that there are some mysterious women who see Summer’s relationships with these bad-boys as a threat. Secrets and lies will be told and eventually revealed. Will they all be the same after truths are told? Will Summer be able to handle her new life and family? Read the story to find out. Summer’s thoughts:  My whole life my mother has been telling me my brother is a low life.  A thug, a criminal, a waste of space. I’ve heard it all. She tried her best to turn me against Xander and my father, tried to instil it into me from the beginning.

The Oscar-winning actress cast is Marcia Gay Harden.  Gay Harden, 54, won an Academy Award in 2001 for her supporting role in biopic Pollock and has recently finished work on Woody Allen’s Magic In The Moonlight.

The character of Kate Kavanagh is a blonde, attractive and the same age as Anastasia but she is more outgoing and flirtatious than Anastasia.

The Premise and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading Disastrous:

I have to say, I was lucky when I came across the ‘Disastrous Series’ by author E.L. Montes. I’ll admit, I’m very intrigued and fascinated by stories that involve love stories and mysterious men (bad-boys). This series definitely satisfies the need for both. The series falls under one of my new favorite genres, the ‘New Adult’ category. This will be my second ‘Double-whammy’ Blogging Reader’s Review for a two-book series.

The story follows two successful strangers who are both attractive and driven. When I say successful, it doesn’t specifically mean because one is a successful lawyer and the other a law student. What makes them successful is the fact that they’ve both suffered loss and have lived through dark times in their lives and still choose to not give up in life even though it feels like a struggle at times.

Mia Sullivan seems somewhat of a strong-minded woman who has plans and goals that she tries to keep her focus on which also help keep her mind off of past heartache. Her roommate Jeremy is her bestfriend who tries his best to be there for her during the dark times of her past and present. Call it fate or chance but Mia get’s the chance at a highly sought-after summer extern position at one of the best Law Firms around which is owned by a young successful lawyer named Marcus DeLuca. Ironically, her friend Jeremy knows Marcus because of their fathers’. One night Jeremy talks Mia into going out without giving her much warning that he had also invited Marcus, her soon to be boss. Marcus is quickly intrigued by Mia because of a certain kind of innocence and humbleness that she exudes. As for Mia, she is instantly attracted to the successful and handsome attorney but she hesitates to instantly fall for him because of her problem with trusting people and the fear of caring for people, just to have them leave her life. They seem to connect because their attraction is hard to ignore and they both have a haunted past and a few dark secrets.

Marcus DeLuca owns his own successful Law firm and could have any woman he wants. To the outside world, he is simply a successful young lawyer who has no worries in life. The problem is, he’s been leading a double life since he was only a teenager. The second life he leads is a path that leads towards darkness, danger and is slowly killing the good in him. Marcus doesn’t come across as a broody-bad-boy but more of a man with a dark side. There are reasons he must continue leading a double life because of certain ties that he simply can not easily break away from. At times you will feel sorry for Marcus and you’ll hope that he isn’t as bad as his secrets lead Mia to assume he might be. As Marcus falls more for Mia, he worries that when she finds out his dark secrets and what he’s done, she will want nothing to do with him. Will Marcus and Mia survive the lies, heartache, betrayal and a love that is too strong to simply walk away from.  Will all of the secrets and lies be too much for them to get passed?

‘DISASTROUS’ has a few things I want to mention that I truly enjoy in a great story. Firstly, get the tissues ready because if the sadness of one’s life can make you tear up, then all I can say is ‘beware’. Next up, there are hot-n-heavy scenes in the story that keep things seductively entertaining. And lastly, you get a couple of great bonus’ at the end of Disastrous. The reader get’s an Epilogue in the P.O.V(Point of view) of Lou Sorrento who happens to be an important person in Marcus DeLuca’s second life, and let me say, it sets the story up for the sequel titled ‘Cautious.’ You also get a look at Marcus DeLuca’s P.O.V(Point of view) when he first meets Mia. I do recommend this book and the ‘Disastrous’ Series. Love, mystery and suspense all tied together. It was well worth the read.

Mia’s thoughts:  The man standing before me was definitely God’s gift to women. He was tall, tanned, and had the most gorgeous big brown eyes I’d ever seen.

Marcus’ thoughts:  My mind was racing wanting to know who Mia Sullivan was.  And for the first time in my life, I was happy to wake up tomorrow to find out everything about her.

Mia and Marcus:  “You’ve never been in a relationship before?”-Mia.   “I never had time for a serious relationship.”-Marcus.  “But you have time to date me?”-Mia.  “I’ll make the time for you, to get to know you better.”-Marcus.

Marcus: “You see, Mia, for a long time I haven’t had anything like that: honesty, innocence, and pureness.   After seeing it through your eyes, I never wanted or needed it more in my life.”

Mia and Marcus:  “My heart is telling me to give you a chance, but my head is telling me that you’re dangerous and I’ll end up hurt.”-Mia.   He momentarily looked down as if there were some truth to what I said.  “I wouldn’t hurt you, Mia.”-Marcus.

Mia’s thoughts:  Marcus DeLuca had to be a dangerous man because I was caving in too soon; it was just too soon to feel this attachment, to feel and want him so desperately.  When something seems too good to be true, it’s exactly that.

Mia’s thoughts:  After losing two important men in my life, I built a wall, not allowing anyone in.  Once Marcus stepped into my life, that wall slowly crumbled.

Mia’s thoughts:  The love we had may not have been perfect, but it was love and no less. I had a beautiful, strong man, who was more damaged than I was…

Mia’s thoughts:  This whole time he was warning me, but I was blind and didn’t care.  I wanted the good and bad- all of him.  Knowing at that moment what he truly was, I realized that everything was just lies.

The Premise and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Cautious’- Book #2:

Now onto my review for the sequel to ‘Disastrous’ titled ‘Cautious’ by E.L. Montes. It did not lose any of the gripping story dialogue that the first book offered. ‘Cautious’ definitely brought the action, suspense and continues the heart-clenching love story between Mia and Marcus. In this book you get 2 P.O.V’s (Point of views), meaning you get to see not only Mia’s perspective but also Marcus’ this time around, making the story completely fulfilling.

The story picks up with Mia and Marcus as a couple who have no question about the strong love and connection they share. Unfortunately they are still trying to work through certain problems and issues that still seem to affect their relationship because of the danger that lurks because of of the life Marcus still leads in secret. Mia and Marcus have begun to open up to each other, though not completely. Since this move into the right direction in their relationship, she has chosen to stick by Marcus but certain secrets still linger.

Marcus becomes set on trying to find a way to get out of the 2nd life he lives because he wants to protect those he loves, including the woman he loves so much. I must add, there is one hot and steamy scene involving a movie theater during a ‘chick-flick’ and that is all I’m going to say about that. 🙂 When the thin line that separates Marcus’ personal life from his dark life, begins to disappear he knows it is beyond time to find a way out. Certain secrets from the past emerge that change the way his brother Jimmie as well as Marcus himself, see things from their past. Marcus knows he needs to make choices that could be a huge risk and cause him the woman he loves and even his life.

Someone from Mia’s long lost past returns one night, making Mia face her own past filled with questions. She never really felt like she missed out on anything in her life but this new visitor may be able to help Mia answer questions that she’s had about why things happened the way that did long ago. With her father and brother both gone, she has reservations about trusting this unexpected visitor and allowing them to be a part of her life.

The thrilling sequel ‘Cautious’ definitely meets all expectations and concludes this wonderful ‘Disastrous Series’ perfectly. There is so much I’d love to mention but I don’t want to accidentally ‘Spoil’ the story. I highly recommend this series because you get it all. What is ‘all’ you ask? You get a love story that is difficult but completely passionate; you get mystery, action, suspense and just simply a great story. 🙂 There is also a great Epilogue at the end. Make sure to check this series out!

Marcus’ thoughts:  It was a fucking headache one minute, and the next it was perfect in this odd, fucked-up way.  Mia had a hold on me that couldn’t be broken, even if I fucking tried.

Mia’s thoughts:  Although I had accepted him with all of his flaws, this was one I wanted so desperately to take away.  I hated his lifestyle, but I loved him.

Marcus’ thoughts:  I was fucking hardheaded and couldn’t simply walk away.  Deep down, I knew she deserved better. You could call me a selfish man, I guess. I couldn’t see her with anyone else.  She was meant for me in so many ways.

Marcus’ thoughts:  When you finally find a person who makes you feel alive, how could you possibly breathe if she were gone?  I knew I couldn’t.

Marcus and Mia:  “What would I do without you, Mia?”-Marcus.   “You’ll never have to find out because I’ll always be here, Marcus. I’ll always be yours.”-Mia.

Marcus’ thoughts:  I was intoxicated by her beauty, her scent, and, most of all, the love in those eyes for me.  Right there was where I wanted to be always.  I’d never felt so much peace in my life than when I was with her.

Mia’s thoughts:  I took a chance with Marcus, and I believed it was the best choice I’d ever made.  I wanted to take more risks, to find more chances for happiness, and most of all, to build a family.

Marcus to Mia:  “We’re in this together, always, and no matter how many times it feels like a struggle, we’ll fight through it together because we deserve to be happy.  You deserve all the happiness life can bring.”

Meet the NEW Christian Grey for Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie!

After actor Charlie Hunnam bid farewell to the much-anticipated role of Christian Grey for the Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie expected to release next year, there was a desperate search to find a replacement for him. The wait is over!

After a hot and steamy screen-test with Dakota Johnson, Irish actor Jamie Dornan has landed the part of Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” is what we are told.

Dornan was among a handful of young heartthrobs to read for the role late last week, a source shared. His main competition appears to have been up-and-coming Australian actor Luke Bracey, who stars in Max Landis’ directorial debut “Me Him Her.”

Dubbed “the Golden Torso” by the New York Times in 2006, 31 year-old Dornan is a good physical match for 28 year-old Grey, and being a relative unknown may end up helping the public accept the actor in the role of the kinky billionaire, who millions of readers imaged differently. The imagination is a powerful thing, and an audience with no pre-conceived notions of the actor playing Grey could tailor their own fantasizes to Dornan’s relatively mysterious cinematic identity.

Universal was under pressure to begin production Nov. 1 on the high-profile project in order to meet an Aug. 1, 2014, release date. If Dornan’s deal closes, he will be signed for three and possibly four Fifty Shades movies based on the erotic book, assuming the first film is successful. -(some info. via thewrap)

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘OUT OF LINE’:

I’ve come to realize that the New Adult genre is full of wonderful stories and ‘Out Of Line’ is one I am happy to say deserves a positive review. I am looking forward to the follow-up novel to this series titled ‘Out Of Time’ to see where the story goes for the two main characters, Carrie and Finn. A few things for readers who are interested in this novel; my favorite thing is multiple P.O.V’s(Point of Views) and yes this story offers two. The two P.O.V’s are that of Carrie and Finn. This book was just released in September of 2013 and the sequel is expected mid-December of 2013, making me a happy reader! 🙂 No year-long wait for this follow-up, which is always great. Many thank you’s to the author for that.

The story follows a nineteen year old girl named Carrie who is the daughter of a protective and overbearing father, who also happens to be a senator. Carrie has always been a little awkward but she has finally grown out of her ‘gawky’ stage just in time for college. She moves far from home for school in hopes of finding some room to breath after living a sheltered and protected life with agents watching her every move while growing up, thanks to her dad. She’s described as the kind of beautiful that is natural and unbeknownst to the person themselves, and soft red hair.

Carrie isn’t into the party scene like her college dorm-mate, Marie. After being talked into going to a party, she goes but eventually leaves to walk by the beach. While out there, she meets a very attractive guy with a few tattoos and a nice fit body named Finn. What Carrie doesn’t know about Finn is that he works for her dad as an undercover agent who has sworn to protect Carrie. During this time, she believes her father’s security is hiding out of sight, when in fact he’s right in front of her face.

Finn and Carrie develop a friendship but there is a definite attraction there between these two. Carrie surprises Finn in so many ways because she is not the bratty, stuck-up, party-girl that Finn expected her to be. Carrie tries to share her growing feelings with Finn but he’s always giving her mixed signals. His signals are mixed because he himself is starting to have feelings for her as well but he knows that he’s there to do a job and that would break all of the rules. It doesn’t come easy to break the rules because Finn has been taught about duty and following rules since he’s also a Marine when he’s not working as an agent.

Finn’s character is that of a protective, alpha-male guy who likes to surf on his free time. As Finn finds new reasons to spend time with Carrie, it seems to bring out another side to him. As the reader you will find out if Finn will choose to pursue his growing feelings for Carrie or simply obey the rules that he signed when choosing to become her protector. Lies are told and truths eventually come crashing down around Carrie and Finn, forcing them to make hard choices. Towards the end of the story Finn receives a phone call. That call is a cliffhanger that leaves you wondering “What was the call about?”

The cliffhanger hooked me because I know he’s a Marine, therefore it leaves me wondering, did he get orders to deploy soon? Or, did Carrie’s father find out about Finn stepping out of line? Like I mentioned earlier, don’t fret we will get the chance to find out soon because the sequel to this novel is out in December of 2013! 🙂

Carrie’s thoughts: People were always telling me that I had the prettiest blue eyes in the world.  They were wrong. This guy did.

Carrie: “Maybe I’m the type of girl who’s sick of living by the rules and who’s ready to have some fun.”

Finn’s thoughts: I knew her father was controlling enough to send an undercover agent to watch his nineteen-year-old daughter fumble her way through freshman year.

Carrie’s thoughts:  I had never really bothered to primp for a boy, so I’d had to rely on my best friend for help.  Google.

Carrie’s thoughts:  That look he gave me was the look that so many books described. Like he was inviting me to fall into his arms and stay there forever. God, I wanted to.

Finn’s thoughts:  My job was to serve. Protect. Keep my cover. And most of all? Not touch her. The bad thing was, I couldn’t seem to stop thinking about it.  For some reason, the little socialite who wasn’t really a socialite was getting under my skin, and I had to find a way to get her out before it was too late.  If only my Glock protected against that shit.

Finn’s thoughts: My heart twisted at the look she was giving me. All puppy-dog eyes, begging me for the truth. I wished I could give it to her. Wished I hadn’t signed a contract stating I would keep my cover, no matter what.  Wished I wasn’t a liar. I hadn’t expected it to be this hard. I hadn’t expected her.

Carrie’s thoughts: I might be inexperienced, but even I knew what a good kiss felt like. And. This. Was. It.

Finn and Carrie: “You’re one amazing woman. You know that, right, Ginger?”-(Finn)  –  The nickname that had once annoyed me sent shivers through my veins now.-(Carrie)

Finn’s thoughts:  If I had to watch her kiss another guy, I wouldn’t be responsible for my reactions.  I couldn’t have her, but I didn’t want anyone else to have her.  Yes, I knew how horrible that sounded. I didn’t care.

Carrie’s thoughts:  He was always hot, but wearing his uniform, he was catastrophic to my health.

Finn’s thoughts:  For a second, I pretended she wasn’t my boss’s daughter or my assignment. Pretended I wasn’t lying to her, and that she wouldn’t hate me when she found out the truth.

Finn’s thoughts:  I’d been lost this whole time, but I’d been fighting it.  I was done fighting her.  From now on, I would fight for her. For us.

Finn’s thoughts:  I wished I could hold her close forever. Keep her safe forever. Make sure no one ever hurt her again.  But I’d be the one hurting her.  I’d be the one ruining the very thing I so cherished… her trust.

Carrie’s thoughts:  Turns out, I didn’t like being treated like a princess.  I liked annoying surfer boys who lied to me.

Finn’s thoughts:  When I recognized the number, I sank onto the bed and swallowed hard.  This couldn’t be good news.  I just knew it.

It’s true! Charlie Hunnam Quit Fifty Shades Of Grey! (Take Our Poll)

You have all probably heard the Breaking ‘Fifty Shades’ News that was made official hours ago about the actor Charlie Hunnam, who was set to play the lead character of Fifty Shades of Grey, Christian Grey quitting. It is all true!

There are multiple stories being told as to the reasons behind Charlie stepping down from the role. The ‘official’ reason that has been stated by the main sources for the movie and Charlie Hunnam say this:
an “immersive TV schedule” as his reason for pulling out prematurely.

“The filmmakers of Fifty Shades of Grey and Charlie Hunnam have agreed to find another male lead given Hunnam’s immersive TV schedule which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey,” Universal Pictures said in a released statement.

While that may be the actual case, there have been rumors flowing around on social media that began with unknown sources claiming that Charlie Hunnam got cold feet about the highly controversial adaptation and the pressure involved, or as Christian Grey might put it, performance anxiety.

Hunnam will still continue his role as as Jackson “Jax” Teller in Sons of Anarchy as well as his upcoming role in Guillermo del Toro’s next film “Crimson Peak,” also starring Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston.

As the author E.L. James of Fifty Shades of Grey novel series tweeted to Charlie Hunnam: “I wish Charlie all the best x”, we concur.

Fifty Shades actor Charlie Hunnam speaks out!

Charlie Hunnam has already dealt with some backlash over his ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’ casting and he is finally speaking up about the controversy. On Oct 9 Entertainment Weekly revealed that Hunnam knew he was “probably not what everybody imagined” to play Christian Grey. Luckily for Team Fifty he did not let that stop him from accepting the role.

“There are so many fans of that book and I know that on the surface, I’m probably not what everybody imagined. Because reading is so personal and people bring a character to life in their imagination, they feel ownership over that character. That’s daunting if I allowed myself to think about it too much. I’m taking it very seriously and intend to explore the nature of who this character is, what motivates him—and also dress up nice and look good in those suits.”
