Piper Dreams is the first novel of the new trilogy novel series by author Amélie S. Duncan. I am a fan of her work so I was very excited to be invited to read and review her latest spellbinding contemporary romance. Readers will be able to grasp the feel of this story through the two main characters P.O.V.’s(point of views): Piper Rowe and Broderick “Brody” Whitehurst.

Young college student Piper Rowe has always been so focused on doing well in school and being the person that she is expected to be. She’s a young, beautiful, blonde woman who is looking to become a global journalist but it seems that she comes across as too groomed and not adventurous enough to be one. That is, according to her professor, who is the one who can kick-start her dream career path. Her life seems great, with a best friend named Jorge who is her only tie back to her late-father’s old life. The life her mother has tried hard to break ties with. By doing so, her mother is with a rich man named Royce who tends to make Piper feel uncomfortable when he’s around her. With so much going on, what can life throw her way now when everything seems to slowly be spinning out of control?

Brody is a part of an edgy lifestyle that gives him the chance to enjoy the “open road”. Having the freedom of living his life without any ties holding him down or anyone to shatter his world again and the ability to just do whatever he wants keeps him more or less satisfied. It doesn’t hurt that he’s a tall, sexy and attractive biker, who never has a problem with finding companionship except he makes sure that it’s always flings and nothing more. He’s had to learn some hard lessons along the way. One important lesson was to stay in his own league when it came to women. Also, staying on the go across the open road helped to keep him from stopping and having time to get lost in his thoughts or the past. The two people he considers his family now are Seren and Cole, who love bikes as much as he does and who he’s made an unusual arrangement with.

Cole is away and he’s left Brody to bond and take care of his woman Seren, just in case she gets sick again or he doesn’t return from his dangerous job. Brody hopes that with Seren and her “Biker Babes” group experiencing things from their bucket list, they can live it up as Cancer survivors. But Brody didn’t plan on meeting the beautiful college student Piper and he definitely didn’t plan on her joining them on their cross-country adventure. Will Piper ever tell her mother about the secret that she’s keeping? Will Brody’s unusual arrangement with Cole and Seren guarantee that Piper will stay far away from him? This is the first novel of a trilogy series and so far I’m intrigued and entertained by the plot and characters. It’s an intriguing story about finding yourself, healing from your past pains, and trying to become who you want to be while you still have time. Life is after all, one slippery unpredictable thing. I do recommend this novel for readers looking for an enjoyable read! Give this one a go. It really looks like their will be some twist-and-turns to come. Note: It doesn’t end on a complete cliff-hanger but there are a few questions that await answers. Can’t wait to see what’s to come! 🙂

Brody’s thoughts:  If I’d learned anything in my twenty-five years; it was to stay in my league. My excuse the last time was that I’d been blindsided. I might have even tried to pump up my past to be good enough to come through the front door. But that was before. When I was stupid enough to let myself get caught up with someone out of my league.

Piper’s thoughts: I wasn’t one for spontaneity. Everything I did was planned, until tonight. Until Brody.

Piper and Brody: All I wanted was to have him willing to give himself to me. “Give me you.”

Brody’s thoughts:  She was all dreamy. Stars in her eyes as she spoke about her goals in journalism and traveling around the world. Listening and watching her, all I wanted to do was give her the world. I swallowed. But that wasn’t me. I couldn’t give her much. I was just a simple man.

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels of the Sinner’s Tribe MC Series.***

“Sinner’s Steel” is the third novel of the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club Series by Author Sarah Castille. I was given a copy of this intense and thrilling novel to read and share my review for readers. This novel continues the satisfying style of romance that any fan of MC novels looks for: hot alpha males, strong female characters regardless of flaws, and a not-so-easy love story. You’ll be reading this story from the two P.O.V.’s(point of views) of the main characters Zane “Tracker” Colton and Evangeline “Evie” Monroe.

Zane “Tracker” Colton has always remembered the one that got away. Even though technically, he’s the one that left her behind because of difficult circumstances. Zane, who’s now known as Vice President Tracker in the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club, has been living his life under a new persona which is tougher, darker and violent when necessary. When the MC tries to get a hold of a betrayer, he comes across a piece of his past that has always been the hardest part to get over completely: “Evie.”

Evangeline “Evie” Monroe grew up in a home of secrets and always felt alone. The only people in her life that ever made her feel safe and loved were her two childhood best friends, Zane and Jagger. They grew up together and always made each other feel better by being their when each one needed some kind of support. When Zane and Evie take a chance one night by following their hearts, that night would become such a turning point in their lives and they didn’t even know how much.

Evie is now a single mother and doesn’t have much of a dating life. She takes a chance getting to know a biker by the name of “Viper” who happens to be an MC President but she doesn’t know much else about that part of his life. He seems so genuine and easy to talk to so Evie doesn’t mind spending some time with him. But when her past and present collide, all hell breaks loose.

When Zane and Evie’s paths cross after so long, how will things go? Will Evie ever find out the whole story of what happened the night that her father was killed and why Zane disappeared that same night? Will Zane be able to get over Evie or will he finally confess about why he left her when he did so long ago? There are so many intriguing questions that will be answered in “Sinner’s Steel” and it will blow you away. The characters continue to amaze and there is just something so likeable about Evie and Zane. She is naive to the MC lifestyle but she quickly learns that not everything is as it seems. Zane carries such loyalty to his MC and his brothers, especially his best friend and MC President Jagger, but Evie has always meant everything to him. This leads you to a gritty, suspenseful, dangerous, and love-filled ride! I recommend this novel and look forward to seeing what else develops in the Sinner’s Tribe MC world! 🙂

Ghostbusters Film Series: 2 Companion Films Coming Soon! [2016]

GHOSTBUSTERS FILM SERIES: TWO COMPANION FILMS IN THE WORKS!

We already know that a Ghostbusters reboot with an all female lead cast is set to begin filming this summer(2015) with a release date set for 2016 by Paul Feig. The original Ghostbuster film’s star Dan Aykroyd and original director Ivan Reitman of Ghostbusters 1 & 2, have taken important roles in a newly-established production company formed by Sony called “Ghostcorps”. The production company will be a huge part of the expansion of the Ghostbusters brand which is said to include films, TV shows, merchandise and more.

With this new company by Sony, the Ghostbusters series is set to begin producing a second companion reboot film that will star an all male lead cast. The Russo brothers, Joe and Anthony Russo(directors of Captain America: The Winter Soldier) are said to possibly produce and direct the all male lead reboot film. Channing Tatum is on board with partners Peter Kiernan and Reid Carolin to produce the reboot. Tatum  is also said to be hoping to score a staring role in the all male lead film. Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3) is writing the script for the all male lead Ghostbusters reboot.

GHOSTBUSTERS 3 (all female lead-reboot)

DIRECTOR: Paul Feig.  CAST: Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon, Chris Hemsworth.

Ghostbusters 3 was a rumor for a long time but earlier in 2014 it was confirmed that a reboot would definitely be coming to a theater near you in the near future. What has been officially confirmed is that the first Ghostbuster reboot’s crew will consist of an all female cast! Some of the rumors that have floated around before the cast was announced were that: some of the original cast will return or that Oscar(Sigourney Weaver’s character’s son)will become a Ghostbuster now as an adult.

What has been shared via Twitter from the film’s director @PaulFeig is this: “It’s official. I’m making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That’s who I’m gonna call.”

The original director Ivan Reitman was on board to direct this latest installment but he stepped down after the passing of the original Ghostbuster and writer of the film, Harold Ramis who played Egon Spegler. Reitman stayed a part of the film as a producer. Filming is set to begin in the summer of 2015 in Boston and possibly New York City.

UPDATES & CAMEO NEWS: Chris Hemsworth has been cast to field the calls for the all female-cast of Ghostbusters as the receptionist. Cameos by the original cast members Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts have been confirmed to happen!

PLOT: Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors, Erin Gilbert and Abby Yates, who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Erin(Wiig) lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. (Like the original, the story takes place in New York City, even though it’s being shot in Boston.) Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Erin reunites with Abby(McCarthy) and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.” – via: BostonHerald

Ghostbusters 3 is no longer a part of the rumor mill. If there will in fact be two Ghostbusters films coming in the next year or so, is seeming very likely. The first reboot film has been confirmed(all female lead cast version) and the second film(a possible all male lead cast) is in the works. The original director Ivan Reitman decided to only be a part of the film as a producer after the passing of the original Ghostbuster and writer of the film, Harold Ramis who played Egon Spegler. No word yet on confirmed cast, plot or when the film will begin shooting.  Brothers Joe and Anthony Russo, are said to be teaming up to direct and produce the film. Drew Pearce is writing the script. Joining partners Peter Kiernan and Reid Carolin, is Channing Tatum as part of the producer team. Tatum as well as fellow actor Chris Pine are rumored to be possibly staring in lead roles of this reboot film. As more information becomes available, I’ll update it here.

Current Rumors(Not confirmed) for this Reboot: Channing Tatum and Chris Pratt will star in the film, there may be a male/female lead Ghostbuster cast, original Ghostbuster cast members to join the new reboot cast, more Ghostbuster crossover films may be in the works between the two reboots.

Thank you to Author Ginger Scott for taking a moment to do a 2nd Q&A with me in preparation for your upcoming novel release of ‘THIS IS FALLING.’

Q: What can you share with us about your upcoming novel ‘This Is Falling’, beyond what the synopsis offers?

Ginger Scott:  I really think ‘Waiting’ fans are going to love ‘This Is Falling.’ I was craving writing a college story, and I love all of the newness that comes with a freshman year. College is like boot camp for becoming an adult, but at first, you’re still so unsure of everything, like you’re caught in the middle. Rowe, my heroine, has a lot of extra things going on, too. I can’t give it all away, but she’s trying to grow up but terrified to at the same time. Nate, my hero, is such a good guy, and I really wanted to make him worthy. Maybe it’s because I love baseball so much, and Nate’s a baseball player, but he just had to be good for the soul. And as much as we get to see Rowe fall for Nate, we also get to see Nate make it all happen. And I think others are going to fall for him, too.

Q: Can you give us a little more of the back-story behind the main characters Rowe and Nate?

Ginger Scott:  Hmmmmm, I don’t want to give too much away, because getting to know them is a wonderful part of the ride. Let’s just say Rowe is smart but shell-shocked, and she’s just on the cusp of learning how to dare and challenge herself when we get to meet her. Nate, well he is my Captain America–all warm and fuzzy and chewy and pretty much perfection wrapped up in one hot body. He’s the kind of guy that loves his parents, loves his brother, and is loyal to a fault. I can also tell you that they are two of the funniest characters I’ve written. I laughed so hard at one conversation between the two that I actually teared up.

Q: Your ‘Waiting On The Sidelines Series’ had Reed who played football and ‘Blindness’ had a former motorcross star named Cody and this New upcoming novel ‘This Is Falling’ will have a main character who is a baseball player. I personally enjoy a great story where there is a hot athlete involved, anytime.  Are there ever real life athletes in your mind when you bring to life these wonderful athletic characters in your stories? If so, can you share with us who they are. 🙂

Ginger Scott:  I am an ESPN junkie. I love sports–all sports. And I grew up playing hard and playing with the boys. I think that’s why I love male athlete characters so much–I get them and feel like I can be authentic with them. As for real-life inspirations, absolutely. It’s sort of a mashing up of various athletes I watch and admire. With Reed in ‘Waiting on the Sidelines,’ I don’t think there was a specific person who inspired him, but more my love of high school football and that world. With Cody in ‘Blindness,’ I was able to know a lot about freestyle motocross thanks to a friend who’s son is one of the major X-gamers (Nate Adams). We watch a lot of Nate in our house. And baseball…ah, that’s my wheelhouse. When I wrote Nate Preeter in ‘Falling,’ I drew inspiration from the hundreds of ASU baseball games I’ve been to, and while there isn’t a specific player that is Nate, if you will, there is one that maybe sparked the idea for him in the beginning. And Nate’s a catcher–because Buster Posey is the bomb, and he’s a catcher, too!

Q: Future Novel question: Since sports seems to be a big influence to you, do you have an idea of what kind of athlete you may be writing about next?

Ginger Scott:  My next novel is a companion to ‘This Is Falling.’ It will feature Nate’s brother, Ty, who plays a big role in ‘Falling.’ The Falling Series will tell three stories when complete, each able to be read as a stand-alone, but with characters that connect.

Q: You have definitely succeeded multiple times in the Contemporary Romance, New Adult and Young Adult genres with your novels.  Would you ever consider trying your hand at a completely different genre such as Paranormal, Thriller, Fantasy or any other genre?

Ginger Scott:  I have thought about that many times, especially paranormal. My husband is a HUGE fantasy and paranormal fan, so I would have to come up with something truly unique or else I would never hear the end of it. I have an idea that I’ve made notes on, but it’s still very young. It needs to grow up a little more. Maybe, though…maybe one day.

Q: One more question about your upcoming novel before we end this Q&A.  Will ‘THIS IS FALLING’ be a standalone or will it be a part of a series?

Ginger Scott:  In a way, both. It will be a standalone that connects to other books on other characters, something I’ve always wanted to do. The follow up, featuring Nate’s brother Ty, will be out at the end of 2014.

The film ‘If I Stay’ is based on author Gayle Forman’s bestselling novel with the same name. The story follows a talented teenager named Mia Hall, who seems to have it all: musical talent,  is in love with a great guy and has a supportive and loving family.  Life was great, until the car crash. The crash changes everything.  Mia’s family is met with tragedy but it seems that she isn’t ready to go just yet.  As a result of the crash, her body lies comatose in a hospital — but unbeknownst to anyone, Mia has been having an out-of-body experience since the crash occurred.

During her out-of-body experience, she is told that life or death-‘if you live – if you die, it’s all up to you; whatever fight you got in you, you gotta pull it out now.’  Mia goes through memories from her life before the accident while her body lies in the coma.  As she tries to figure out what to do next, she is given the chance to see what there is to live for still.

The director is R.J. Cutler and Shauna Cross is the scriptwriter. The film is based on the YA novel ‘If I Stay’.

A former motocross super star, Cody was now happy to be living the blue collar life, spending his days finishing up school and his nights under the hood of some classic car, just trying to keep everything his father taught him alive. Cody and Charlie were living parallel lives, until they finally collided. And the moment he smiled at her, Charlie knew he was the one who would change everything. But was she willing to take the risk?

Cody saw through it all. He saw her—all of her. But would letting him in be too much to take? And if Charlie let herself love him—really love him—could he love her back?

Novel TEASER from “BLINDNESS” by Author Ginger Scott:

Cody is still next to me, his grip on my hand once again strong, but his body is stiff. I’m rewinding mentally, realizing just how far I went. Shit! I said way too much! I don’t even know what I’m doing here. This all suddenly feels way too intimate—wrong. My pulse is speeding up the more I think about what Trevor would think if he saw me, saw this—saw us!

I slide the pillow from my chest to the side and work my fingers until they’re out of Cody’s grip. He remains next to me, but isn’t moving. I’m pretty sure I just made him feel unwelcome in his own bed, the awkwardness creeping in now and almost choking me. I have to leave, leave this bed and then leave this room. I’ll be calm until I shut his door, and then I’m running.

Yes, that’s it. I’ll run.

“Oh God, I’m sorry. I just unloaded, like, way too much on you. I’m…I’m just going to go,” I say, pushing myself up to sit at the side of the bed and slip on my shoes. The light is dim, but I can tell that Cody’s eyes have shifted to me. He’s still not moving or speaking, and I don’t really want him to. I just want to get out of his room without him saying a word.

“Thank you, truly,” I say as I stand and look once more at the ceiling. “The stars? They’re amazing,” my voice wavers, and I turn and walk to his door. I’m gripping the handle, willing myself to keep it together for just a few more seconds until I’m out of his view, when I feel his body behind me and see his hand flat against the door.

His breath against my neck raises every hair on my body. I’m looking intently at his fingers splayed out on the wood paneling of the door in front of me, my hands still gripping the door handle. Beyond this door, my life continues on one path—a path I know. A path I love. But I’m stalled, considering what happens if I stay in this room. I’m paralyzed. Fear. Indecision.

“Cody, I…” I start, but don’t know how to finish.

“Just stay,” he says, his voice barely audible, and the air released from his words sends more chills around my neck and down my entire body.

“Just…” I hear him swallow, and even though I can’t see him, I know he’s struggling. I keep my eyes forward and watch his fingers curl into a fist on the door, clinching tightly. “I won’t…I wouldn’t make you uncomfortable. I’m not asking you to do anything. Please…please just stay,” his head falling flat against the back of mine as he speaks. I can feel him breathe me in, and I feel like I’m racing down a hill, lightheaded from the conflict brewing inside.

“Okay,” I whisper, not even aware that it was me speaking. I’m on autopilot, turning away from the path I know and recognize on the other side of the door, but desperately worried that it won’t be there when I finally leave this room.

Cody’s hand slides from the door to my shoulder, and I shiver as he traces the back of his fingers down the length of my arm until he finds my hand once again. He pulls me to him, forcing me to turn into his body. I keep my eyes focused on the words on his shirt, reading the dates and towns to myself. Some tour shirt—a concert, perhaps? Or maybe a race? I’m trying to keep my mind busy with this pointless task when Cody reaches for my chin and pulls my face to look at his.

His eyes are serious. Even in the darkness of his room, I can see the flecks of blue—I’m that close. I watch them as they move to the side of my face to follow his hand as he pushes my hair away from my face slowly, tucking it behind my ear but leaving it there, his fingers tangled deep within my hair. He tilts his head to the side, and I think for a moment that he’s about to kiss me. I lick my lips on instinct, and I feel him tense up from it.

His hand forces me forward into him and I close my eyes, almost believing that if I don’t see it coming I won’t be able to stop it. I feel his chest press to mine next, then his hand wraps deeper into my hair so he’s cradling the back of my head. His other hand slides up my side to the middle of my back, and his chin comes down above my head so I’m completely tucked within his embrace. I’m sheltered, and it’s the first time I’ve ever felt my heart actually stop from being in someone’s arms.

Giving in, I bring my hands up Cody’s back so I’m hugging him tightly to me, my fingers gripping at his torn T-shirt. I slide my face flat against him and let out everything I’ve been holding in—it feels like for years.

Katniss Everdeen fought very hard in the arena in the first installment of The Hunger Games franchise. But those, according to President Snow, were merely games. In Catching Fire, the games are over, and the war’s about to begin…

In the final trailer for the sequel film, hope is stronger than fear as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games. Upon their return home, Katniss senses that a rebellion is brewing. President Snow still having strong control, forces Katniss back into the place she dreads most for the Quarter Quell (a.k.a. the 75th Annual Hunger Games). She’ll face new creatures (i.e. Howler monkeys and Jabberjays), as well as multiple new challenges.  This will be a competition that could change Panem forever.

Meet the NEW Christian Grey for Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie!

After actor Charlie Hunnam bid farewell to the much-anticipated role of Christian Grey for the Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie expected to release next year, there was a desperate search to find a replacement for him. The wait is over!

After a hot and steamy screen-test with Dakota Johnson, Irish actor Jamie Dornan has landed the part of Christian Grey in “Fifty Shades of Grey,” is what we are told.

Dornan was among a handful of young heartthrobs to read for the role late last week, a source shared. His main competition appears to have been up-and-coming Australian actor Luke Bracey, who stars in Max Landis’ directorial debut “Me Him Her.”

Dubbed “the Golden Torso” by the New York Times in 2006, 31 year-old Dornan is a good physical match for 28 year-old Grey, and being a relative unknown may end up helping the public accept the actor in the role of the kinky billionaire, who millions of readers imaged differently. The imagination is a powerful thing, and an audience with no pre-conceived notions of the actor playing Grey could tailor their own fantasizes to Dornan’s relatively mysterious cinematic identity.

Universal was under pressure to begin production Nov. 1 on the high-profile project in order to meet an Aug. 1, 2014, release date. If Dornan’s deal closes, he will be signed for three and possibly four Fifty Shades movies based on the erotic book, assuming the first film is successful. -(some info. via thewrap)

 It was reported that filming was scheduled to begin in early 2014 at Shepperton Studios in England. At the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, Whedon announced the film would be titled Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. No one had any idea. Joss Whedon played a video that no one had any idea what it was going to be about. It turned out, it was an announcement teaser for ‘The Avengers 2,’ which, was revealed as being subtitled ‘Age of Ultron.’ The crowd went wild.

Only those who attended Comic-Con, had the chance to see the ‘Avengers 2′ trailer. Until now.

As part of the ‘Iron Man 3‘ Blu-ray, Marvel and Disney released a JARVIS app that was available on the iPhone app store. The app would let you interact with the Blu-ray, set some ringtones, tell you the weather, etc. It was a nerdy version of Siri and that was all well and good.

But, hidden within the JARVIS app was a way to unlock the ‘Avengers 2′ trailer from Comic-Con. According to Movie-Pilot, if you download the JARVIS app from the App Store, say “JARVIS, Rough House,” go to the “Suits” section, and press the “Classified” folder, it will unlock the video.

Or, you can just watch it in HD below. The bonus is that you don’t just get the ‘Avengers 2′ trailer, but you also get the official video of Joss Whedon coming on stage with Marvel president Kevin Feige to introduce the clip. It’s kinda hard not to get excited after watching a clip like this.
