My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Anti-Stepbrother’:

“Anti-Stepbrother” is definitely not your run-of-the-mill stepbrother love interest kind of story. Author Tijan brings an entertaining story that doesn’t hold back on delivering what it is intended to give readers: The Satisfaction of a great story. This exciting novel comes from the New Adult and Romance genres and truly does not fall short in the romance department. “Anti-Stepbrother” has been written from the two main characters P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Summer Stoltz and Caden Banks.

Summer Stoltz is thrust into an instant new family when her father falls quickly for Sheila Matthews, the mother of the most popular boy at her high school, Kevin Matthews. Not only did he quickly become her attractive new stepbrother, but he had also been Summer’s huge crush. Her mother passed away from cancer, making her father’s speedy relationship become the talk of the town. When her graduation day arrived, a moment is shared with Summer and Kevin, causing her to have stronger feelings for him. But are the feelings mutual?

Caden Banks is tall, handsome, tattooed, and doesn’t like to partake in the typical frat-party lifestyle even though that is a large part of his current situation. He’s usually broody. His fraternity brothers respect him and most female classmates have a crush on him.  Most of his peers don’t know that Caden and his brother Marcus carry a secret that that their parents seem in denial about while Caden seems to bear the majority of the weight that exists from their family secret. It wasn’t his initial choice in life but no matter how dysfunctional his family is in some ways, he chooses to carry extra responsibilities. When Caden and Summer first meet, it’s not with sweet words or flirtatious innuendo. None of that was even a thought at all. Summer and Caden will find that life tends to throw necessary surprises into your life when you may least expect it.

When Summer begins college, she learns so much more about love, overcoming disappointments, healing from tragedy, and she learns much more about herself. “Anti-Stepbrother” is a swirl of moments that are fun, touching, engaging, and enjoyable all blended together. The characters are wonderful and easy to get drawn into their lives because of their satisfying differences. Summer’s silly wit and random humor at times, was delightful and matched well for a character like Caden, who at times had moments in his life to be moody about. It made for a believable growth between the two characters and why they would begin to have an attraction for each other. And then you had the wrench in their plans by the name of Kevin. I recommend this for readers who enjoy a story about young adults growing into who they are while dealing with love, heartbreak, and life’s uncertainties. Check this one out if you’re looking for a great story to read next. 🙂

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘SINNER’S STEEL’:

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels of the Sinner’s Tribe MC Series.***

“Sinner’s Steel” is the third novel of the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club Series by Author Sarah Castille. I was given a copy of this intense and thrilling novel to read and share my review for readers. This novel continues the satisfying style of romance that any fan of MC novels looks for: hot alpha males, strong female characters regardless of flaws, and a not-so-easy love story. You’ll be reading this story from the two P.O.V.’s(point of views) of the main characters Zane “Tracker” Colton and Evangeline “Evie” Monroe.

Zane “Tracker” Colton has always remembered the one that got away. Even though technically, he’s the one that left her behind because of difficult circumstances. Zane, who’s now known as Vice President Tracker in the Sinner’s Tribe Motorcycle Club, has been living his life under a new persona which is tougher, darker and violent when necessary. When the MC tries to get a hold of a betrayer, he comes across a piece of his past that has always been the hardest part to get over completely: “Evie.”

Evangeline “Evie” Monroe grew up in a home of secrets and always felt alone. The only people in her life that ever made her feel safe and loved were her two childhood best friends, Zane and Jagger. They grew up together and always made each other feel better by being their when each one needed some kind of support. When Zane and Evie take a chance one night by following their hearts, that night would become such a turning point in their lives and they didn’t even know how much.

Evie is now a single mother and doesn’t have much of a dating life. She takes a chance getting to know a biker by the name of “Viper” who happens to be an MC President but she doesn’t know much else about that part of his life. He seems so genuine and easy to talk to so Evie doesn’t mind spending some time with him. But when her past and present collide, all hell breaks loose.

When Zane and Evie’s paths cross after so long, how will things go? Will Evie ever find out the whole story of what happened the night that her father was killed and why Zane disappeared that same night? Will Zane be able to get over Evie or will he finally confess about why he left her when he did so long ago? There are so many intriguing questions that will be answered in “Sinner’s Steel” and it will blow you away. The characters continue to amaze and there is just something so likeable about Evie and Zane. She is naive to the MC lifestyle but she quickly learns that not everything is as it seems. Zane carries such loyalty to his MC and his brothers, especially his best friend and MC President Jagger, but Evie has always meant everything to him. This leads you to a gritty, suspenseful, dangerous, and love-filled ride! I recommend this novel and look forward to seeing what else develops in the Sinner’s Tribe MC world! 🙂

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘FILTHY RICH’:

This is my review for “Filthy Rich” by Dawn Ryder and it is the first time I’ve had a chance to read her work. The story follows a woman who is determined to make it on her own after her husband, who happened to be controlling and rich, is sent to jail. She goes to Alaska to attend her best friend’s wedding and comes across the groom’s best friend who happens to be everything she has convinced herself she doesn’t want anymore. But the pull of attraction between them is hard to ignore. The story is written in the four P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Celeste Connor, Nartan Lupan, Caspian Devitt, and Laura.

The main female character Celeste Connor is a blonde, beautifully toned woman thanks to her new hobby of martial arts, and determined to be independent. She doesn’t want a man or any kind of relationship because the scars, emotional and mental ones, still linger from a marriage she was currently free from. Her husband was controlling, rich, and always got his way no matter what anyone else said. His wife was his toy and his possession and she feared the day he would be back out of lock-up. She enjoys celebrating the wedding of her best friend Sabra on a trip to Alaska. Her mind is set on never trusting any man, especially one with a lot of money and who loves control. Then, she meets the groom’s best man who happens to also be his best friend, Nartan.

Nartan Lupan is a pure blood Apache. His dark hair, fit physique, unique cobalt-blue eyes and successful business gives him a lifestyle of never needing anything. Women are never hard to come by, in fact they practically throw themselves at him. When he comes across the lovely Celeste he can’t help but be intrigued by the attraction he feels toward her. As he begins to pursue her, he sees that she will not come easy and that makes him want her more.

Then you have the bitter, rich, vengeful husband who has always gotten what he wanted and his wife Celeste is what he wants. Caspian Devitt loves to enjoy the power his money brings and he enjoys pressing his control on anyone who belongs to him. His time in jail doesn’t change anything. Celeste his his. She belongs to him…that’s what he thinks anyway. No one will have her and when the time comes, she will come back to him when he is out. If she tries to fight him, he will bend her until she remembers exactly who has control over everything she does. That is the mind of the power-hungry Caspian.

This story had a great mix of enjoyable romance, provocative steamy scenes, and it had some
entertaining suspenseful moments. Will Celeste ever be able to trust or even love a man again? Is Nartan just another rich man in search of a woman to own and control or is there more to him? Will Caspian decide to move on or will he do anything to press his control onto Celeste, no matter what it costs? I do recommend this book for readers who enjoy a great contemporary romance with a nice mix of suspense. I’m curious to know if this will become a series or if a spin-off book will come from the supporting characters Laura and Marcus. I think there is potential there with those two. All together, this was a satisfying read. 🙂

Celeste’s thoughts:  Nartan Lupan was everything she needed to stay away from. Tall, dark, and handsom, with the kind of money a gold digger would be willing to undergo plastic surgery to get he hands on. His kind understood their power too. They wielded it like a whip, expecting a woman to be their pet. They only wanted control in a relationship, not equality or partnership. No, Celeste would never again submit to that kind of subjugation.

Celeste’s thoughts:  Getting on with her life would require someone a little more run-of-the-mill. That might translate into boring, but it also could be defined as steady and reliable. Two things she was positive she needed for inner peace.

Nartan’s thoughts:  The last thing he needed was the complication of a relationship. Or the risk of letting someone close enough to his heart to sink a knife into it. Women like Celeste were dangerous because they were quality, and dismissing her would be possible. His damned fascination with her would die. He was sure of it.

Nartan’s thoughts:  Nartan felt a burning in his gut that he knew too well. It was a feeling he trusted, one he’d followed in business, and he’d been rewarded with success for doing so. He wasn’t finished with Celeste Connor. Leaving her behind would be a mistake.

Celeste’s thoughts:  She needed him, craved the taste of him more than her next breath. Arousal was twisting, tightening in her core. He just felt so right against her, so perfect that she had to reach for him and tug him closer.

Nartan to Celeste:  “I’ve never asked another woman to come home with me,” he whispered against her ear.
“I kept one of the condos for my hookups, I’m not taking you there,” he told her bluntly. “My home is for the woman who makes me feel rich.” He pulled in a stiff breath. “You make me feel that way. So deeply, it scares me.”
