The Synopsis:

To most people, princes, princesses, counts and dukes are found only in the pages of the most famous of fairytales. Crowns, priceless jewels and gilded thrones belong only in childhood dreams.
But for some, these frivolous fancies are truth.
For some, they are real life.
On Manhattan’s Upper East Side, people have always treated me as someone special. All because of my ancestral name and legacy. All because of a connection I share to our home country’s most important family of all.
I am Caresa Acardi, the Duchessa di Parma. A blue blood of Italy. I was born to marry well. And now the marriage date is set.
I am to marry into House Savona. The family that would have been the royals had Italy not abolished the monarchy in 1946. But to the aristocrats of my home, the abolition means nothing at all.
The Savonas still hold power where it counts most.
In our tight-knit world of money, status and masked balls, they are everything and more.
And I am soon to become one of them.
I am soon to become Prince Zeno Savona’s wife…
… or at least I was, until I met Achille.
And everything changed.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s ARC-Review’ after reading ‘A VEIL OF VINES’ by Tillie Cole:

The latest breath-taking novel by author Tillie Cole titled “A Veil Of Vines” is truly a modern day fairy-tale. A Veil Of Vines comfortably nestles itself into the Contemporary Romance genre as well as joining the New Adult genre. The story follows the wondrous place where both traditional expectations crosses paths with unyielding fate. A Veil Of Vines is written in the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views), from Duchessa de Parma Caresa Acardis and the humble winemaker Achille Marchesi.

Caresa Acardis has lived most of her life in New York. Her family moved there many years ago from Italy so her father, a Duke, could run the U.S. section of their wine business in the city. Even though kings and queens are rarely viewed as anything more than an old traditional title, the duties remain the same for those tied to that traditional lifestyles. Caresa is also known as Duchessa de Parma. She is promised to marry a prince in Italy that she only met as a child. That’s just how their lives are set to follow. Will Caresa be able to do what she must in order to save the families stake in the wine business?

Zeno Savona is a prince and has grown a reputation of being a playboy and someone who likes to have a good time, especially after the death of his father who held the title of King. His father owns a successful winery business and Zeno is set to take the Reigns after his father’s unexpected death. Zeno must step up and change his lifestyle or risk losing everything that his father succeeded in growing, business-wise and reputation wise. Will Zeno be able to change his ways in order to keep their wine business alive or will he be a complete failure?

What Caresa and Zeno never expected, was Achille Marchesi. Achille is the quiet son of the Merlot winemaker who lives a modest and secluded life in a cabin on one of the Savona lands. The wine that Achille has learned to make is like non-other. It’s very expensive, not as easy to find since only a small amount is made, and it’s award winning. Achille, has no idea about all of that. He’s just satisfied with doing what he loves, and that’s making wine like his father did before he passed away. When Achille and Caresa first meet, they realize that wine is a mutual love and their loneliness may also be something they both never knew they had in common. Will Achille and Caresa’s friendship be a problem or does life have a funny way of working itself out?

A Veil Of Vines is a romantic and dynamic journey into a world of exquisite wine, poetic depth, and living beyond expectations. Sometimes secrets can change things for the better, after the initial pain they may cause. These characters are enthralling and beautiful in their own wonderful ways. I do highly recommend this novel for readers who enjoy Author Tillie Cole’s amazing writing and the fascinating way she creates a story that grabs you and entertains from start to finish. It will take you into the serene beauties of Italy and the characters, Caresa, Achille, and Zeno will make you enjoy reading something without too much negative weight. This one is definitely worth checking out next! ❤

The Synopsis:

Fractions of seconds can do lots of damage. One decision can ruin lives. A blink can be tragic. And loving a Hollister…can hurt like hell.

I would know.

They say the average person can hold their breath under water for two full minutes when pushed to the extremes. Will Hollister has been holding his for years. The oldest of two elite swimming brothers, Will was always a dominant force in the water. But in life, he preferred to let his younger brother Evan be the one to shine.

Evan got the girl, and Will…he got to bury all of the secrets. A brother’s burden, the weight of it all nearly left him to drown.

The daughter of two Olympians, my path was set the day my fingertips first touched water. My future was as crystal clear as the lane I dominated in the pool—swim hard, win big, love a Hollister.

My life with Evan burned bright. He gave me arms to come home to, and a smile that fooled the world into believing everything was perfect. But it was Will who pushed me. Will…who really knew me.

And when all of the pieces fell, it was Will who started to pick them up.

In the end, the only thing that matters are those few precious seconds—and what we decide to do while we still have them in our grasp.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s ARC-Review’ after reading ‘HOLD MY BREATH’ by Ginger Scott:

This amazing new stand-alone novel “Hold My Breath” by author Ginger Scott is something to definitely read next. Author Ginger Scott is one of my favorites because she is awesome at blending a sports related aspect into an intriguing romantic story. “Hold My Breath” is written from the two main characters’ P.O.V.’s(point of views) which are Will Hollister and Maddy Woodsen.

Will Hollister is a swimmer, it’s what he was raised to know and what he was always good at. He is set to train, compete and to eventually follow his dream of becoming a professional swimmer. He’s been carrying a guilt inside that he put there himself due to the life changing events that he, himself, barely survived. His brother, Evan Hollister, have always shared the love of swimming growing up and gaining praise for their talents, while carrying similar dreams. There’s one person that Will and Evan have a long history with as well. She’s someone they grew up with, trained with, that seemed to bond with them both but Evan seemed to win her over. She’s now, also the one girl that makes Will feel things that he doesn’t think he should be allowed to feel. Her name is Maddy Woodsen.

Maddy Woodsen grew up around swimmers all of her life, which pretty much sealed it for her to be a talented swimmer as well. The childhood friendship and competitiveness she developed between herself and the Hollister brothers, lasted for years. That was, until tragedy changed everything. Now, that the Hollister family dynamic has changed completely, and Will Hollister is due to return after four years away, how will Maddy feel seeing him after everything again? Can Maddy deal with seeing Will again after so long or will he bring her pain?

Not only do these two have to learn to work and train near each other again, but Will may have some secrets that he’s not ready to share right off. What are Will’s secrets? Why does he travel to Indianapolis constantly? When Maddy finds out the truth, how will she handle it? This story will take you on a journey of heartbreak, a growing bond, and the struggle to gain a triumph after tragedy. Life deals challenges to Will, and Maddy may be the only one who can truly help him, if he ever is willing to let her in. I recommend this read for those who can appreciate a wonderful story about life, love, and living with hard choices. This was an enjoyable and riveting novel that really will pull at your heart-strings for multiple reason. It’s truly worth checking out as your next read! ❤

My ‘Blogging Reader’s ARC-Review’ after reading ‘LAST RIDE’ by Chantal Fernando:

After reading the final installment of the Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club Series titled “Last Ride”, and know it all started with ‘Dragon’s Lair’ by Chantal Fernando, I’m left feeling fulfilled and sad to see it end. This novel and the entire series is absolutely worth reading! The biker brothers of the Wind Dragons M.C., and the beautiful and strong women in their lives, all get their cameos and make their memorable appearances in this exciting conclusion. Dex “Sin” and Faye continue to be dynamic, solid as a couple, as well as fantastic characters in Last Ride. This novel is written in the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Dex “Sin” Black and Faye Black.

The Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club has had its fair share of proven loyalty, strong bonds developed as well as dealt with heartbreak, tragedies, and the need for vengeance. Everything in the MC has become bonded like a family and has grown in many ways. When someone comes along to disrupt their unity, all hell will break loose. Dexter “Sin” Black, the President of the Wind Dragons MC, is married to one of the strongest women he’s ever met. Faye Black is a tough as nails woman, an attorney, a mother, and the wife of the man who holds her heart. Unfortunately, the MC world is never at peace for long when you have unknown enemies lurking around the corner.

When a person from Faye and Dex’s past makes a dangerous play that comes unexpectedly, Faye must do her best to stay alive and keep those she loves alive, too. When Dex “Sin” Black discovers who is tied to the ordeal he’s faced with, he will hunt this person down and flip the world upside down to find one of the most valuable things in his life. There’s a traitor in the Wind Dragon MC’s midst. Who is the traitor and how will they be dealt with once they are discovered? And how will Dex “Sin” handle it, when he finds out that he’s also been betrayed by someone he didn’t expect?

How will Dex “Sin” feel once he learns that true family may not always be blood? This novel is a bittersweet tailspin of suspense, gripping romance, and everything you’d want in the conclusion of an amazing biker series. Sin and Faye’s relationship is a ride-or-die kind of love, and it will be put to the test in the final installment of the Wind Dragons MC novel series. You’ll get the pleasure of seeing how all of the characters in this series is doing and past relationships. Who will survive, who will leave this world- one way or another, and who will ride their last ride? I definitely recommend this novel for those who adore and can appreciate a thrilling and hot biker novel that delivers on the goods! 😉 Add “Last Ride” and the entire series to your TBR list because you won’t be disappointed! I’ll miss this series! ❤

The Synopsis for ‘Necessary Evil’ :

In this steamy series opener from bestselling author Jamie K. Schmidt—whose writing has been called “hot and sexy, with just the right amount of emotional punch,” by Lauren Layne—a vigilante biker takes the power of love into his own hands.

Lucy Simmons comes from a rough family, but she’s a damn good public defender. Even though she hates to see criminals walk due to sloppy police work, the law’s there to make sure everyone gets a fair trial, and Lucy certainly doesn’t believe in the kind of justice meted out by the leather-clad ex-cop they call “Evil.” He’s stubborn, cynical, and out of control—but he plays her body like no man ever has. For once, both Lucy’s boss and her brother agree: The biker is trouble.

Evan Villiers took a sacred vow to let no killer, rapist, or pedophile go unpunished. When scumbags fall through the system, his motorcycle club cleans up the garbage. Although the Sons of Babylon and their methods may not be to Lucy’s liking, the beautiful lawyer has become Evan’s light in the dark. But his next hit is Lucy’s own brother—a murderer who got off on a technicality. Now, with his loyalties split, Evan must turn his back on his brothers . . . or lose the woman who has claimed his reckless heart.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘Necessary Evil’:

This is the first time I’ve had the chance to read from this author. “Necessary Evil” by Jamie K. Schmidt is a story that follows Lucy as she learns about who she can trust, will she survive the dangers that surround her,  and what will she learn about herself. This novel is a part of the Contemporary Romance genre and delivers a good amount of action in the process. This story is told from the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views), Lucy Simmons and Evan “Evil” Villiers.

Lucy Simmons is a tough lawyer who is great at her job. She usually finds herself working closely with law enforcement and has strong ties within their world. As a public defense attorney, she comes across many types of people that she must defend. When her career and her family cross paths, she finds herself with the one defendant she worries the most about. This is her brother Bobby Bradford. And to top it off, former cop Evan “Evil” Villiers, who now belongs to a group call Sentinels of Babylon, is pulling her into his new sometimes dangerous life.

Evan “Evil” Villiers is a former cop that now runs a club he co-owns but he also handles certain kinds of jobs with his closest friends in the Sentinels of Babylon. Most of these missions involve hunting down criminals who slide through the cracks of the justice system. No one knows that exactly who is behind these vigilante, yet precise, actions of vengeance but how long can they get away with what they do? The local law enforcement are getting closer to figuring out who exactly is involved in the vigilante group out there seeking justice on their own.

When Lucy’s younger brother, Bobby Bradford, comes to town from California, Lucy is happy to have him back around. She always worries for Bobby because he’s always been toeing the line of becoming a full-fledged lawbreaker because that’s what’s expected of him due to their father’s history. When suspicions arise that Bobby is responsible for a double homicide in California, Lucy must fight her hardest to defend the only person she has left in her life that she calls family.

Did Bobby really kill those people or is he being wrongfully accused or framed? What is Evan “Evil” hiding from her? And who else will die before the case can be solved? “Necessary Evil” takes you on an inciting ride through danger, seduction, and a good dose of thriller. The story did feel a little rushed in some areas, such as the speedy-blossoming romance between Lucy and Evan but it was a sexy and pleasing relationship as the story continued. This is a nice read if you’re looking for something seductive, entertaining, with a nice amount of thrills as far as action goes. Check this out if it sounds like your kind of story.
