The Synopsis for ‘The Final Fight’:

When life brings you the perfect person at the worst possible time…

On a weekend visit to Las Vegas to visit his brother, Marine Braeden Daniels meets a woman who challenges him in ways he can’t deny. The best part is she wants what he wants.

No strings. No feelings. Just fun.

AJ is a Las Vegas performer who is finally living her dream. Growing up poor, she’s determined to succeed at any cost. No one will stand in her way—not even a hot Marine who breezes into her life all confidence and a cocky smile.

A few stolen weekends and neither can deny the feelings quickly growing between them. But the obstacles that keep them apart become more devastating when the Marine Corps calls Braeden away for a six-month deployment.

It’s only six months.

What could possibly happen?

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘The Final Fight’ (Fighting Series – Book #7):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels of the Fighting Series.***

This is my review for the final installment of the Fighting Series titled “Final Fight” by the amazing author J. B. Salsbury. This entire series is a fascinating blend of emotional depth, complex and inspiring characters, enticing and captivating story-lines. This series ends nicely and continues to be one of my absolute favorite series’ even though it’s finally met its bittersweet conclusion! “Final Fight” is written in the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Adeline “A.J.” Pines and Braeden “Brae” Daniels.

Adeline “A.J.” Pines has big dreams of becoming an entertainer in Las Vegas and living a lavish life. For now, she must settle for a smaller role in a show and bar-tending part-time. Dating is the last thing on her mind and it remained true until handsome Marine Braeden walks into her life. She also did not expect finding out that there’s more to her usually cold and aloof rich boss Mr. Andre Monroe.

Braeden Matthew Daniels is the younger brother of UFL fighter Blake “The Snake” Daniels who lives in Las Vegas. When Brae visits his brother, he finds himself killing a little free time at a local casino where he first meets A.J. Yes, she’s beautiful and there’s an alluring quality to her but Brae has always kept things simple; no strings and just have a good time. As a Marine, he never felt the need to try to have a relationship since it would always come second to his duty. He never expected that a fun weekend could possibly blossom into something more, despite the challenges of distance and duty.

The Final Fight is such a gripping and mind blowing story that just hooks you and holds you from start to finish. The emotions that these characters stir because of their growing feelings toward each other and the hurdles and heartbreaks they have to overcome, it’s riveting. Will A.J. and Brae be able to keep their relationship simple? How will they deal with being six-months apart? And how will Mr. Andre Monroe, A.J.’s rich boss, factor into her life that seems to be growing more complicated as the months pass? I highly recommend “Final Fight” and the entire Fighting Series because the story-line is emotionally enthralling and the characters never all flat and stay interesting. The entire series delivers this same depth. It’s bittersweet that this is the final novel of the Fighting Series but all great things must eventually come to an end. Check this one out for sure! ❤

The Synopsis for ‘El Santo’ :

I didn’t know darkness and evil lurked inside me until I had to murder in order to survive. Forced to become my own worst enemy. With so much blood on my hands, I was surprised I could still see my own skin.
I killed.
I tortured.
I loved…
I played God while I was rotting in Hell. Thriving on control and power was the only way I knew how to live. There were no other options.
If you weren’t my friend, you were my foe.
If you weren’t with me, you were against me.
Traitors, as I called them. There were no imaginary lines. I’d crossed them all. No boundaries. No second chances. No redemption.
Not for me.
For them.
For anyone.
Only for her…
She loved me. Always convinced I was a saint, never believing I was just another sinner.
A fucking monster.

Until it was too late.

Except, I didn’t choose this life. It. Chose. Me.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘EL SANTO’:

“El Santo” is the latest novel by the talented author M. Robinson. The first novel I read from this author was El Diablo and that was a mind-blowing read! It was perfection! This novel falls into the same realm and intensity as that one. This novel is definitely a dark romance with a great dose of suspense. The fascinating and emotional roller-coaster these characters must struggle through and live with is both entrancing and riveting. This is definitely a page turner! Once you start, you just can’t stop. Amira and Damien’s story is just beginning and left me with an ache in my heart for both characters while still holding onto a glimmer of hope. It’s all the intensity that a great novel should deliver and then some. El Santo is written from the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Damien Montero and Amira.

Damien was raised by his father, who was a close follower of a Cuban dictator by the name of Emilio Salazar. Damien admired and strived to follow in Emilio’s footsteps. When he comes face-to-face with the truth, about how his father and Emilio truly lived, he was also faced with a soul changing moment that would completely shape his life. One day would change everything he believed and knew and he’d end up needing to protect someone he was supposed to have completely destroyed.

Amira was a young child, clenching to her doll Yuly, as she witnessed the most tragic and horrifying losses in her young life. That night changed the course of her life when an unexpected person gives her the much needed safety and security she needed. Feeling so alone, she’s left at the mercy of strangers and a person she would’ve never thought would become more to her than she could’ve ever imagined.

As the story progresses, we witness the growth of Amira and her growing connection to her protectors, the only family she has in life now. All the while, Damian continuous to work for the brutal dictator Emilio Salazar while becoming a lethal killer. He’s lived two separate lives, keeping them both safely apart for as long as he possibly could. It worked, until they both began to bleed into one another despite his efforts to stop it.

Sometimes, the one thing you want and need to most in life, you have to let it go to keep it safe from destruction. “El Santo” is a truly heartpounding and emotionally charged story about Amira and Damien and their struggles with survival, taking risks, a bond that becomes hard to ignore and doing everything they can to not give into what hearts desire most. I highly recommend “El Santo” to those who love a riveting story filled with dark romance, action and for readers who don’t mind a little intensity and a complex story-line. Reader Warning: There is some violence and sexual content. Heads up, it does end on a slight cliff-hanger BUT book 2 will be so worth the short wait, which is titled “El Pecador” and will conclude Damien and Amira’s story. It will be out in early-January 2018! Read this one! It’s absolutely worth it! If you’ve read “El Diablo”, this one gives the same style of explosively awesome raw depth. Get your copy today! ❤

How I imagined Damien Montero “El Santo” and Amira while reading ‘EL SANTO’:

★TEASERS★

____________________________________________

MEMORABLE QUOTES & LINES FROM ‘EL SANTO’

Damien’s thoughts: My story is going to make you fucking hate me as much as she does, but I want you to. I’m no looking for redemption. I’m not looking for your forgiveness. I don’t deserve it like I don’t deserve hers.

Damien’s thoughts: I felt the demons that would eternally haunt me. Torment me until the day I died, until I took my last breath. I didn’t walk through the valley of the shadow of death that night…
I would now fucking live there.

Amira’s thoughts:  It was then that another reality came crashing down on me.
I. Was. Wrong.
So very wrong…
The monster hadn’t left, he was standing right in front of me. Pulling the trigger.
Ending it all…

Amari’s thoughts:  I believed him when he said I was safe in his care, which was why I didn’t want him to go. I didn’t want to be a scared little girl, taking on this new world alone.
In a way, he was all I had left.

Damien to Amira: “I’m sorry, Muñeca. For the past, for now, for the future… for everything.”

Amira to Damien: “You don’t want me to be happy. All you want is for me to burn in the darkness with you. Well, I can’t do that anymore.”

Damien to his father:  “I protect what’s fucking mine. Nothing is going to happen to her and if someone – anyone – so much as tries, I won’t hesitate to pull the fucking trigger.”

Damien to Rosario:  “One day soon, I won’t be the man who saved her. I’ll just be another fucking monster that haunts her dreams.”

Amira’s thoughts:  He was the beginning to my end or maybe it was the end to my beginning.
It didn’t matter because he was my home too.
He would always be home to me.

Damien’s thoughts:  I’ve told you from the beginning of my story that I was nothing but a fucking monster. At least now, you can’t call me a liar….
