KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE: KING ARTHUR FILM.

Guy Ritchie is directing the upcoming film “Knights of the Round Table: King Arthur”, which is based on the legendary hero’s tale. This story has been told times before but Ritchie is planning to breath new life into this classic story by changing up how King Arthur himself is conveyed in this film. There will also be a fantasy element to the film that will include giant snakes, massive war elephants, and a monstrous viking-like creature known as The Nemesis. “Hopefully, loyalists won’t be too offended by what we’ve done,” says producer Lionel Wigram.
from the pages of the EW article, Ritchie explains why he wants to add more to King Arthur. “I think where the pitfall has often been is trying to make King Arthur bland and nice, and nice and bland,” he says. “The two qualities make rather compatible bed companions. Unfortunately, they’re not interesting to watch. Luke Skywalker was always the most uninteresting character in Star Wars because he’s the good guy. Good guys are boring.”
Staring in this film are Charlie Hunnam(Sons Of Anarchy) as King Arthur, French actress Astrid Berges-Frisbey, also Jude Law, Eric Bana, Katie McGrath, and David Beckham. KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE: KING ARTHUR – PLOT:
Orphaned as an infant and raised by three prostitutes in the 5th century version of London, this Arthur is more of a street-wise hood, who looks after the people living in his tiny corner of the world. The young Arthur runs the back passages of Londonium with his crew, not knowing his royal lineage until he grabs Excalibur. Instantly confronted by the sword’s influence, Arthur is forced to make up his mind. He joins the rebellion and a shadowy young woman named Guinevere, he must learn to understand the magic weapon, deal with his demons and unite the people to defeat the dictator Vortigern, the man who murdered his parents and stole his crown to become king.
