The Synopsis for ‘EVERYTHING I LEFT UNSAID’:

Fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde will be unable to resist this sexy, deeply intimate tale of a woman running from her past, and the darkly mysterious man who sets her free.

I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.

And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.

His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s ARC-Review’ after reading ‘EVERYTHING I LEFT UNSAID’ by Molly O‘Keefe:

I was granted the chance to check out this new novel and here is my honest review after reading a copy of “Everything I Left Unsaid”, the first novel of a new series by Author Molly O’Keefe. This is the first novel I’ve read from this author and I have to say that I’m very interested in reading more, especially from this new series. This comes from the Adult genre as well as Contemporary Romance, Suspense and Erotic Romance genres and it definitely delivers in those expected needs. Readers will get to read the story through the two main character’s P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Annie McKay and Dylan Daniels.

Annie McKay grew up on a huge farm in Oklahoma, raised by her mother who never really showed affection or love which causes Annie to not have a normal loving relationship with her mother. All Annie grew up knowing was the farm life and not much else. The only real friend she had growing up was an older man by the name of “Smith” who also met the needs of a father figure for Annie. When her mother ends up passing away, Annie is left with a huge farm to tend to and not one clue on how to truly run it. At this time, an employee on the farm, a man named Hoyt steps up and offers to give her the help she needs. Everything seemed to be going well and eventually they marry, against Smith’s warnings. Annie didn’t want to be alone and was afraid of trying to run the farm all by herself, so she gave into Hoyt and his overly helpful ways. Not long after, Annie realizes the huge mistakes she’s made since the moment she allowed Hoyt to be such an intricate part of her life. He’s controlling, manipulative, violently-abusive and cold as ice with her. Her life became a numbing seclusion from everyone around. After one terrible night, Annie decides to flee with only a few thousand dollars and a new look to hide who she is.

Annie finds herself as a new resident in a seedy little place named Flowered Manor Trailer Park and Camp Ground in a random small town inside of North Carolina. She’s colored her hair, from the usual natural redlocks and is determined to stay hidden, just in case. Upon moving in, she comes across a cell phone as it begins to ring. Hesitantly, she answers. The voice on the other end of the line becomes a whole mysterious, highly seductive and potentially dangerous person that she did not expect.

Dylan Daniels grew up with their father named Ben and a mother named Maria. His mother was a beautiful and caring woman but his father was something else. He used to make him and his older brother Max feel like they were never good enough and needed to toughen up. Despite his childhood and teen years of getting into trouble with Max, he grew up to be cold, with a drive to succeed. After an accident changed his life in a way, he began to go in a different direction. The scars of life still influence his life deeply. So deeply that he now lives up high at a mountain top, practically secluded from society and has no plans on changing his ways. That is…until he makes one phone call and hears the voice on the other end that may actually become a threat to his stubborn ways.

When Annie decides to hide the truth about herself, will she ever regain her identity as Annie or will she get lost in the fake new persona of “Layla?” What dark secrets is Dylan keeping about himself? Will Annie and Dylan give into their growing sexual tensions or are they both destined to be on the run from their past emotional issues? Will their pasts’ ever catch up to them? This novel was very enjoyable with the dark, suspenseful, erotic and dramatic storyline. The female character, Annie, seems broken yet strong in some ways because she’s a survivor and a fighter deep down inside. Dylan, the main male character, is sexy, dark and mysterious, but you can tell he is carrying some major emotional baggage but still he can’t hide that he can be a truly caring person. Note: There is mention of abuse from Annie’s past relationship with Hoyt and mature sexual content in this novel. I do recommend this novel because it really was compelling and telling in many entertaining moments. It’s worth checking out, if you’re looking for a new series to try out. Check this one out, readers! 🙂
