Synopsis for MISTRUST’:

The final installment in the series tells the story of Roxy Doucette.

When Roxy Doucette meets the all too handsome, Knox Harrington, sparks fly. He’s the new assistant to the club’s attorney. However, Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell, the club’s president, is suspicious of Knox’s true reasons for being there. Something about Knox just rubs Outlaw the wrong way, therefore, he asks Roxy to get Knox into bed for some “pillow talk”. At first, she’s outraged at Outlaw’s proposal, but accepts that he might be right and the club could be in jeopardy. She agrees to “date” Knox and the war of wills begin.
Born in wealth and privilege, Knox Harrington is a former police officer who has little regard for biker clubs. In particular, the Death Dwellers, and ESPECIALLY the president. Now a private investigator, Knox is working on behalf of his uncle to bring Outlaw and the Dwellers down. The club members’ nefarious deeds warrant their destruction. Knox intends to achieve that by any means possible.
When he meets the beautiful, formidable Roxy, there’s instant attraction between them. However, he sees an opportunity to use her to ferret information about the club. He’s over-the-top-arrogant, believing the ignorance and stupidity of Outlaw will ultimately be the club’s downfall. Knox hasn’t a clue that Roxy is on to him. She’s also attracted to him.
Aside from the safety of the club, Roxy’s in it for the benefits. She has a new lease on life after surviving cancer. Besides Knox’s low-down behavior, she’s a 44-year-old, mother of four children and Knox is ten years younger than she is. However, she can’t resist the challenge when Knox lets it be known that he’s the sharpest tool in the shed. He sure the hell is a tool. The foolish kind and Roxy is determined to teach him a lesson or two.
Let the games begin.

My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Mistrust’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series – Book #6.5):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

The Death Dwellers MC Series by Kathryn Kelly has taken readers on one exciting journey in the world of biker mayhem, wild experiences, and powerful romances. If you’re a fan of this amazing series, I’m sure you’re also sad to see it come to the end but I’m glad we were able to get Roxy’s story before in concluded. The twists-and-turns never disappoint and always offer dialogue that would make even a tough man blush. These imperfect yet dynamic characters deliver till the very end. “Mistrust” is written from three P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Roxanne Doucette, Knox Harrington, and Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell.

Roxanne Doucette Johnson Jones Rouseau is the MC’s version of a mother hen to the Death Dwellers motorcycle club. She curses, can throw a good punch, and doesn’t take any crap from anyone. Roxy is also known to love her family fiercely and will do anything to protect those she loves. So when Outlaw, the president of the Death Dwellers, asks her to do the club and huge favor, she doesn’t hesitate to help out. But will this mission cost Roxy her life, her heart, or the club family that she loves?

Knox Harrington, a former cop turned private investigator, has been recruited by his Uncle Avalon to investigate the Death Dwellers Motorcycle Club and their leader, Outlaw. As Knox digs deeper into the club and interacts with the club brothers and their families, he’s met with an unexpected surprise. That surprise happens to be the blunt and beautiful woman by the name of Roxy. Will Knox succeed in bringing down the club or will he find himself in a difficult situation?

Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell and his biker family have had to face so many challenges from enemies. These enemies have tried hard to bring the club down and to take lives in the process. Through it all, they have been loyal to each other with a bond that shows its strength in times of danger. His woman Megan, his family, and his club are what matters most to the sometimes violent and dangerous man. He wants his wife to have a smooth time for the holidays, but outside forces have other plans. Can Outlaw and his brothers protect their families or will their lives be torn apart by those dead-set on destroying their lives?

In the final installment of the Death Dwellers MC Series, we get to enjoy all of these amazing and imperfect characters we’ve grown to love, enjoy, or just tolerate. We get a better understanding of the challenges Roxy deals with in her life from being mother hen to the club family, having a son who painfully pushes her away, and surviving her cancer. In mistrust will Kendall finally redeem herself or will Outlaw and Johnnie finally come to blows over her issues? I recommend “Mistrust” and this entire series for readers who love gritty, raw, emotional story-lines, that will keep you entertained till the end. It’s bittersweet to see this end but it went out with a bang. This is definitely worth checking out. Pick this one up today! ❤

Misfit 1

Synopsis for MISFIT’:

The final book in the series tells the story of Cash “Ghost” McCall, Louis “Stretch” King, and the woman they allow in their relationship, Ophelia Donovan, who just happens to be Outlaw’s little sister.

Ophelia Donovan wants to move past the loves of her life, two badass bikers in her brother’s MC. When she gave Cash “Ghost” McCall and Louis “Stretch” King, an ultimatum of bringing their relationship out in the open or she’d walk, they chose separation. It crushed Ophelia’s dreams of having a happily-ever-after and family with Ghost and Stretch.

Stretch lives with guilt and pain from the death of his former lover and the injuries he received the same night. For a while, Cash and Stretch worked fine. They’d agreed to choose a woman together to bring into their relationship. Instead, Cash brought Outlaw’s sister in, intending to use her as a shield for Cash’s growing feelings for both Stretch and Fee. The dissolution of their relationship because of Fee’s goading leaves Stretch angry with both of his lovers.

Ghost doesn’t do relationships. He doesn’t have the confidence in himself that he’s equipped for something meaningful. He only knows he loves both Stretch and Ophelia. She wants kids, a house with him and Stretch, and, most of all, an open relationship with them. So open she expects Ghost to go to her brothers—his club’s president—and confess all. Even if he did do commitment, he wouldn’t be alive to see it through. Outlaw would kill Ghost, especially after already warning him away.

Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell knows Ghost is about fun and fucking. He’s in charge of the Bobs, those women trotted out for pleasure at special club occasions. Outlaw’s little sister wants a family and he refuses to allow her to waste her years on a man who’ll walk away in the end. Outlaw’s life has been quiet recently, with every known club threat removed, giving him plenty of time to focus on family.

Thanks to Cash’s outrageous plan to throw Outlaw off, he raises the man’s suspicions instead. A biker from a rival club uses Ophelia to get on Outlaw’s good side, leaving her gravely injured, Outlaw in jail, Stretch admitting how important both she and Cash are to him, and Cash determined to never deny his love again.

Warning: Not suitable for anyone under 18. Contains excessive swearing, graphic sex between MMF, taboo subjects, and…Kendall at her finest.

My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Misfit’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series – #6):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

My heart feels heavy at the bittersweet knowledge of knowing that this is the final novel in the phenomenal Death Dwellers MC Series by Kathryn Kelly. For fans of this amazing MC novel series, these roughneck bikers, and the women who stand solidly at their sides, you’ll love where this takes you. The story-lines have twists and turns that promise to keep readers entertained. “Misfit” is written from multiple P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Ophelia “Fee” Donovan, Louis “Stretch” King, Cash “Ghost” McCall, Johnny “Jon-Boy” Donovan, Kendall “Red” Donovan, and Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell. And that’s not including the Epilogues at the end. More about that further into my review. 😉

So much has occurred surrounding The Death Dwellers MC brothers and the strong, sometimes broken, women in their lives. In the final novel of the explosive and emotional Series, we are given the satisfaction of seeing how everyone’s stories will conclude. Whether it be with a ‘Happily ever after’, a big ‘F-U’, or met with a long permanent sleep six-feet-under, we will be granted the closing of this amazing series. This story has a strong focus on the youngest sister of the Death Dwellers MC President, Ophelia Donovan.

After the humongous loss that Ophelia, her sister Zoann, and their brother Christopher “Outlaw” have suffered, no wonder Ophelia “Fee” would feel the need to find what her life needed most: Love, understanding, and where she belonged. Her life had gone astray because of the tragedies. She dropped out of college and was floating through life during the time after the tragedies of losing her mother, sisters and nieces. She began a forbidden and mind-blowing affair with not only Cash, a member of The Death Dwellers MC, but Cash’s MC brother Stretch. Will the three be able to find their happiness with each other or will Outlaw murder the two MC brothers for not listening about staying away from Fee?

Louis “Stretch” King and Cash “Ghost” McCall have always had a strong bond beyond their biker brotherhood in the MC. Cash “Ghost” has always kept Stretch at a distance because of his fears and desires of never being able to be faithful and true to anyone but himself in many aspects. When Ophelia “Fee” entered their world and their lives, they couldn’t deny that there was a connection between Cash and Fee but where would that leave Stretch? In this final novel, we see how an unusual yet explosive connection can become a strong entity of emotions between a tripod of misfits by the names of Fee, Stretch, and Cash.

I’ll never understand or miss the character of Kendall Donovan. She is ruthless, mean-spirited, psychotic, evil for what she does in this novel and just beyond understanding for everything she puts so many through. Her husband, Johnny “Jon boy”, has always been one of my favorite guy character’s in this series and to know his story is fated to endure Kendall, is kind of sad but understandable. He deserves someone sane and better in so many ways but as real life goes, nothing is perfect and not everyone can fight who they fall in love with or who their heart wants. So at the end of the day, no matter how annoying Kendall is, I know that the love Johnny and Kendall share makes them blind to what others see and they only see each others love. They accept their imperfections, making their story-line seem deep, painful, yet real. Johnny is such a likeable yet foolish man and hopefully Kendall stays on her meds and lives up to being worthy of a man like him.

The dramatic, dynamic, and exciting blend of characters in this series all deliver raw and enthralling value to this story-line.
This is such a whirlwind and intense conclusion to such a riveting MC series. At the end, there are multiple Epilogues to conclude all of the main character’s story-line’s which come from the P.O.V.’s of: Bunny, Digger, Bailey, Zoann, Val, Kendall, Johnny, Megan, and Christopher “Outlaw”. The sexual dialogue runs high, the violence runs blood red, and the depths of their stories will pull at you in many directions. I will forever be “Team Outlaw and Meggie”, and will always wish to see Outlaw kill Kendall but sometimes, even the best of stories will have to give you satisfaction in other ways. This is a longer novel but so worth it! I didn’t expect anything less in order to give us conclusions for so many awesome characters. I highly recommend this final novel and this entire series for readers who can appreciate and enjoy a dynamic and sinister MC series that keeps your emotions running wild from the beginning to “The End.” You will not be disappointed with the gripping twists and turns in this series by the amazing author Kat Kelly! Check out “Misfit” and this series today! 🙂

Death Dwellers MC Series Novella 4.5- Misalliance by Kathryn Kelly

Synopsis for MISALLIANCE’:

Kendall Miller walked away from the VP of the Death Dwellers to heal. She’d made mistake after mistake. Just weeks before she delivers Johnnie’s baby, she wants to reclaim the sexy club VP.

Johnnie’s angry and hurt that Kendall walked away from him on their wedding day. He swears it’s over between them. But Kendall is determined to seal their love once and for all.

My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Misalliance’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series – Novella #4.5):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

This is the latest in The Death Dwellers MC Series by Kathryn Kelly. There is always so much raw and emotional scenes in this series and this latest installment delivers more about the gritty and tumultuous lives of those in the MC while focusing on the relationships surrounding Kendall and Johnnie. “Misalliance” is written from four P.O.V.’s(point of views). The two main P.O.V.’s are from Johnny “John-Boy” Donovan and Kendall “Red” but we also get a little from Club President Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell and MC brother Louis “Stretch” King.

Kendall left on the day that Johnny had planned to marry her and was going to let her know that he would build her a home. There has been so many ups and downs in their relationship. The downs have been some of the worst things to have to deal with especially when you’re insecure, emotionally damaged and come from such terrible settings as Kendall had. From dealing with the loss of their “Baby Biker”, to hostile jealousy, never feeling adequate enough because of a retched mother and bullies that still haunted her from her past. Kendall and Johnny had parted ways. Now, Kendall has returned only to find out that Johnny seems to have completely moved on and may have very well closed his heart to her.

Johnny “John-Boy” Donovan was on the mend from having his heart broken by Kendall when she left him. She’s carrying his baby so he was set on trying to win her back but so many things happened that made him stop the search. So many people telling him to leave her alone. So he did just that in the only ways he knew how to, and that was have meaningless sex, drinking and partying. But inside, Johnny was still battling the feelings he still carried. The anger and frustration he felt for the woman he loved…still. Possibly. Maybe. He’s just trying hard to not give in. Now with his occasional hook-up Sherilyn, he tries to hard to get lost in that to get passed Kendall. But will it really work?

With the fears lingering in the air still about where the Death Dwellers MC former brother “Digger” was as well as the so-called preacher, the club and their women had to be careful. Johnnie and Kendall have so many things they have to deal with. When they reunite will there be too much hostility to ever see eye to eye? Does love ever really have a chance to conquer all, even in the lifestyle of an MC member? Other problems arise in the club that bring to light how diverse their brothers really are and who can stay loyal regardless.

Expect the Death Dwellers MC to be what it always promises to be: chaotic, engrossing, gritty, sexy and utterly entertaining. Kendall is still her imperfect and annoying self but we see more sides to her in this book and it definitely brings her relationship with Johnnie to it’s finality that seemed perfect. This is still one of my favorite MC series’ so I do recommend it but just remember, it’s definitely for mature readers only. Plus, readers will get exclusive Bonus Chapters from Kendall’s and Johnnie’s P.O.V.’s from these past books of this series: Misappropriate, Misbehavior and Misjudged. Check this one out. It’s out now! 🙂

MEMORABLE QUOTES & LINES FROM ‘MISALLIANCE’

Kendall’s thoughts:  Perhaps, I don’t know what love is. I know what survival is. I learned to fight back with tit-for-tat spite. I learned to get ahead, be noticed, through sex. Most of all, I learned I could only rely on myself in the long-run. Therein is the problem…!

Kendall’s thoughts:  He was going to be a wonderful father and husband. Even now, in all his fury, he’d been watching her so closely he saw the ripple of her belly through her thin dress. The revelation thrilled her. She didn’t have to manipulate him into noticing her. He was aware of her, but he was just too stubborn to admit it.
“Yes it moved.”
Smiling, he walked over and sat, laying his big hand on her belly, not asking permission to do so. She carried his child, so he’d consider it his right to touch her. The baby moved again.
“Fuck,” he said around a laugh, then sobered and stared into her eyes. Desire flashed in his, but he blinked it away.

Johnnie’s thoughts:  Kendall meant much more than that to him: he mother of his child, the woman who infuriated him. And the one he’d always love.

Val to Johnnie about Outlaw:  “He wants her dead, but he wants you happy. The only thing Outlaw ever look at when he see Kendall is one of two things. Your old lady or her taking her last breath. But we both know that wasn’t the case with you and Meggie. She might not have been in love with you, but your dick had her pretty fascinated. Another thing Johnnie? Every time he pulled his nine on you, he hesitated to fire. You didn’t. You want to question fucking loyalty, go look in the fucking mirror.”

A reality check from Roxy(Morticians Mother-in-law/Bailey’s mother) to Kendall:  “A degree doesn’t make a man or a woman. Personality does and from where the fuck I’m sitting, you’re sorely lacking in one, if you’re taking jabs at Meggie. In case it hasn’t dawned on you, yet, you’re making an ass of yourself, while Meggie’s busily living her life. You need to get the fuck over it and her.”

Kendall’s thoughts:  Despite how much she adored Johnnie, Kendall had never known a love like she felt towards her baby boy. She’d always mourn her sister’s and mother’s loss. But she no longer wondered why Marie had never loved her as a mother should. That had been her mom’s responsibility, not Kendall’s. Each horrible moment she’d gone through had brought her to this one.

My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Misguided’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series – Book #4):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

This is the latest in The Death Dwellers MC Series by Kathryn Kelly. There is always so much raw and emotional scenes in this series and this latest installment delivers more about the gritty lives of those in the MC and the women and enemies around them. “Misguided” is written from the P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Lucas “Mortician” Banks and Bailey Andrews.

The story tells us more about the back story and history about Lucas “Mortician” Banks and the MC. Mortician comes a rich lifestyle with very little love, if any, after his mother’s death. His father is a well liked preacher who seems to have most of his congregation fooled about who he is and what secrets he keeps. When Lucas “Mortician” finds himself in the company of the MC, he must decide who he is and who wants to be. With a women who seems to control his young naive heart, he’s torn between his past and present as time progresses in the story.

Bailey Andrews is a young  and beautiful college student who also happens to be the daughter of K.P.(Kaleb Paul), who is a long time member of the Death Dwellers MC. Bailey finds herself attracted to K.P.’s bike brother Mortician and quickly finds herself falling hard. Mortician confuses her by pushing her away one moment and then pulling her closer other times. She decided to move near her father to escape a secret she ran away from.  She had no idea that life would change for her and those close to her.

Mortician doesn’t want to lose the bet. A bet that was made long ago that he wants to make sure not to lose but his body betrays him. His attraction to Bailey is hard to ignore but he sure as hell going to try his best to ignore it.  He just never bet on things changing after he gives in just a little bit to his desires for Bailey.

With a father like that who needs enemies? Enemies are lurking around and past secrets will surface, that could threaten the MC and its members. Hearts are tested, betrayed and some are mended. I definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves a great MC series and wants a story told with the true raw emotions, sexual enticement and the perfect amount of suspense that draws me to call the Death Dwellers MC one of my Top 5 favorite MC Series’. Check it out for sure!

Mortician’s thoughts:  He wanted to cry. He wanted to scream. But, mostly, he wanted to fucking kill. And he would. Brutally viciously. Slowly and methodically. John Boy the sociopath. Prez the psycho. So what the fuck are you?

Bailey’s thoughts:  The faintest scent of his aftershave hung in the air. Cigarette smoke. Lysol. Raw onions. She sniffled. Soon, this would be just another empty room. Or, worse, a reassigned one. Her dad’s photo would go on the wall with the other Free Bird members and everyone’s lives would go on without him. Hers would never be the same.

Mortician’s thoughts:  Her belly was flat, her tits nice and round. She wasn’t Smurfette sized like Meggie or statuesque like Red. Bailey was a little shorter than Chester, but she was just so fucking perfect.

Mortician’s thoughts:  Every time she tried to talk to him, he shut her out. Maybe, if he ignored it, it would go away. Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing. He didn’t need to fucking know any more than necessary.

Death Dwellers MC Series Novella - Misjudged by Kathryn Kelly

The Synopsis for ‘Misjudged’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series Novella):

Have we ever misjudged a situation? Looked at life one way only to realize it’s something else entirely?

Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell is at a crossroads. He worships his old lady, Megan. After almost losing her, he’s realizing marriage is harder than he thought, especially when he’s the president of one of the most notorious MCs around.

Megan Caldwell has been immersed in grief over her lost son, blaming herself for his death. She wants another baby and she wants to be the old lady her husband needs her to be.

Reality has a way of changing perceptions. Both Megan and Christopher will have to find answers to some hard questions. Most important one?

Where do they go from here?

Warning: This story contains a little of Kendall Miller’s backstory and a present-day decision on her part. It isn’t for the faint of heart and isn’t a hearts-and-roses type of romance. It has a little intensity, a smidgeon of fighting, a lot of loving, and approximately 1360 ‘f’ words or variations thereof.

My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading ‘Misjudged’ (A Death Dwellers MC Series – Novella):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

The Death Dwellers MC Series was introduced to me by the wonderful author behind the series, Kathryn Kelly. I have to honestly admit that this has become one of my favorite motorcycle club series of books! I almost didn’t get to check out this little hidden jewel “Novella” before the next book in this series is released in the near future but I’m so glad I got to read it. This novella is written in the three P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Kendall “Red” Miller, Meghan “Meggie” Caldwell, and Christopher “Outlaw” Caldwell.

The beginning of this novella opens with a glimpse into the sad and sucky past of a young Kendall Miller.  She has quickly become one of the most annoying, bitchy, and easy to hate characters in this series but the with the life she’s lived through, you can maybe kind-of… sort of find a tiny tinge of sympathy for her. The girl has been through hell since birth it seems and that would mess anyone up mentally and emotionally, causing them to lash out unprovoked most times and to always think she can’t trust anyone. To know that she has struggled to survive through harsh bullying as an adolescent, feeling unloved by her own mother, surviving sexual assault as well as the deaths of he mother and younger sister, you may actually wonder how this woman has even found a way to survive at all. She is a very complex character but she really isn’t a villain as much as she can easily be called one…she is simply a broken-bitchy woman who needs to fix herself in order to keep the man she loves: Johnnie “John-Boy” Donovan.

Johnnie sends Kendall to a place to get some help for her issues but Kendall just sees it as a way for Johnnie to get rid of her…which is far from the truth. That is part of Kendall’s issues, she always expects the worst from others because that is all she’s ever been shown in the past through out her entire life. What will happen next for these two? Can their relationship survive the imperfections and problems that seem to linger? We will have to see.

Meghan “Meggie” is still trying to deal with the loss of her baby boy Patrick. Christopher “Outlaw” almost lost Meggie during the end of that pregnancy because of the trauma she experienced when Meggie tried to help Kendall. Outlaw still hates, loathes, and would love to murder Kendall for putting his Meggie through it all but Johnnie won’t have that happen to the woman he loves. Meggie finds out some unexpected news that sends her to deal with it all; once Christopher “Outlaw” finds out, he wants nothing more than to keep Meggie safe and alive. These two are faced with tough choices and for once, keeping secrets from each other to protect the one they love. Will this cause the strong love they share problems that can put a wedge in their relationship or can they overcome it together?

Then you have Lucas “Mortician” who is trying to find out what is going on with his brother Digger who has been distant from the MC and more involved with a female named Peyton. Mortician is still married to Bailey, the beautiful daughter of the late K.P. and she is also carrying his baby. He’s torn between a bet he made and following his feelings for the woman who confuses his mind and heart. When a surprising betrayal occurs, Mortician will have to do what he has to for the ones he cares about.

For being a novella, this was an entertaining read with all of the awesome Death Dwellers MC characters we’ve all come to know and love (or hate). I highly recommend this novella before Mortician and Bailey’s story comes out next. This novella definitely sets up a few things for not only Mortician and Bailey’s relationship but also for Outlaw and Meggie’s relationship, as well as Johnnie and Kendall’s. If you aren’t familiar with this amazing biker series filled with sexy alpha-males and tough-to-handle or easy-t0-love women, then you are missing out. You should definitely check this one out. It is had as nails, erotic as can be and one of the best MC Series’ around! Check it out.

MEMORABLE QUOTES & LINES FROM ‘MISJUDGED’

Kendall’s thoughts:  It was almost September. Almost her 31st birthday. Almost Meggie’s 20th. It was close to eight months since she’d met Johnnie. Close to eight months since Spoon’s assault, her mother committing suicide in front of her, and Spoon holding he captive. It was just over six months since she’d been sent back to Johnnie and her little sister had committed suicide. A little over six months, too, since the disastrous day she’d lost her baby and almost her life.

Christopher “Outlaw’s” thoughts:  The only one he’d get in line for was the girl in his arms. She gave him purpose. She made him want to live. Whether he lived his life being a psycho stalker motherfucker wasn’t important. With he, he could reign himself in a little. Without her…

Megan “Meggie’s” thoughts:  Sometimes, she’d see a rainbow in the sky, and pretend…Pretend she’d see them and have no more tears. Despite her despair, she’d smile.

Christopher “Outlaw’s” thoughts:  Megan always seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But the bullshit the club had dealt with since Megan and Christopher got together was related to the bullshit Logan had begun so many years ago.

Matthew “Val’s: thoughts:  He loved his prickly

Death Dwellers MC Series book 2.5 - Misdeeds by Kathryn Kelly

The Synopsis and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading Novella ‘Misdeeds’ (Book #2.5):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the previous Novels/Novellas of the Death Dwellers MC Series.***

‘Misdeeds’ is the fourth novel of the ‘Death Dwellers MC Series’ by author Kathryn Kelly but it’s also a novella.  The characters continue to be very strong in the sense that you will either strongly like or dislike them. Despite the trials they deal with and the sometimes terrible ways they deal with them, you can’t help but feel that they are raw and could be real because they can be known to make both good and terrible choices at times. You will be reading this novella through about five P.O.V.’s(point of views)  but mainly from Kendall Miller and our sexy biker favorite-Johnnie ‘John-Boy’ Donovan. But we also get some P.O.V.’s from Death Dwellers MC bikers – Lucas ‘Mortician’ Banks, Matthew ‘Val’ Taylor and Louis ‘Stretch’ King.

We met Kendall Miller in the last novel, who was new to the Death Dweller MC world thanks to being thrust into the biker world by a rival leader named ‘Spoon’ of the Torpedoes MC.  With her long red-hair, long beautiful legs and tall height, she comes across as a beautiful woman in her early-thirties upon first impression. Unfortunately, after her time with her ex-boyfriend ‘Spoon’ and her personal issues, she is very mistrusting, reclusive in a way that she begins to push away any chances of possible friendship with Megan and risks her relationship with Johnnie in the process. Because of her issues, she also begins to cause friction in the Death Dwellers MC and between cousins  Christopher ‘Outlaw’ and Johnnie ‘John-Boy’.

After putting an end to one evil monster in the previous novel and now having to bury one of their own, the Death Dwellers must reboot and be ready to hunt down their sadistic enemy ‘Spoon’ and handle the unfinished business with him.  It’s personal to both Johnnie and Christopher so they can avenge the harm that occurred by the hands of ‘Spoon’, Kendall’s ex-boyfriend and bring down the Torpedoes MC in the process. It becomes a dangerous time in the middle of a war between the two motorcycle clubs, which can definitely become risky to the pregnant Old Ladies, Megan and Kendall as they struggle to find an understanding and get past their dislike for each other for the sake of their men the the club.

In this novella we get to know more about ‘Mortician’ and Bailey and their possible relationship that seems to be growing after the death of Bailey’s father, former Death Dweller MC member, K.P.  We also get to know more about Matthew ‘Val’ Taylor and his tumultuous relationship with Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ sister, Zoann and the baby they share and love.  And last but not least we get to know Louis ‘Stretch’ King better, who is a trusted member of the Death Dwellers MC and is dealing with own dilemmas and secrets.

The Death Dwellers MC and Kendall must deal with the deaths of people they care about and the aftermath of those ordeals and tragic losses, while dealing with the ongoing war with the Torpedoes MC and ‘Spoon’.  Secrets from the past never stop surfacing, which also seem to cause friction within the compound of the Death Dwellers MC group and  their Old Ladies.  Stuff gets heavy at times, that you don’t know if they will all make it through to the end or if they will even continue to be allies or enemies by the end of the story. All of this will definitely work towards keeping readers entertained throughout the story. Find out if Johnny and Kendall can finally find a happily ever after with each other or if heartbreak is on the brink? Can the war between the two MC’s ever come to an end or will it just bring the end to them both with destruction and mayhem? Who will be left standing and who won’t survive? Read this story to find out. In this novella expect more hot moments, heartbreak, love, fighting, and sadly, more tragedy. Just another day in the Death Dwellers MC world.  I do recommend this novella and this series because the characters are always easy to love,  easy to hate or somewhere in between. Great dynamics. Check this series and novella out.

Kendall’s thoughts about Mortician and Bailey:  If he went to her now, he’d be claiming her as his.  While Kendall understood the dynamics of such an action, she wanted him to ignore the stupid codes just this once.  Bailey needed him right now.

Johnnie’s thoughts:  One day, Kaleb was alive and at the clubhouse, daring anyone to fuck with Dinah and threatening to hack Mort’s dick off if he touched Bailey.  The next day, K-P was gone.  Human like everyone else, not the invincible man Johnnie had chalked him up to be.

Val’s thoughts:  Obviously, the Torps were watching them as closely as they were watching the Torps.  Those fuckers were hitting where they were most vulnerable.  Their women.

Kendall’s thoughts:  She didn’t know how to overcome her terror and shame.  She didn’t know how to overcome her love for Johnnie or how to make herself want to do anything other than stay inside and keep house.

Kendall to Johnnie:  “The other condition is I want a cut like Meggie has.  Mine will say Property of John Donovan.  That way, the world will know you own my heart.”

Death Dwellers MC book 1 - Misled by Kathryn Kelly

The Synopsis and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading Misled (Book #1):

‘Misled’ is the first novel of the ‘Death Dwellers MC Series’ by author Kathryn Kelly.  I was excited to be invited to read the first three novels of this series, especially after reading the synopsis for each of these novels.  As the reader, you will be able to read this novel through the two P.O.V.’s(point of views) of Megan ‘Meggie’ Foy and Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell.

Megan ‘Meggie’ Foy is a pretty, blonde haired, blue-eyed, seventeen  year old, who’s home life with her mother and stepfather is nothing like it seems to the outside world.  Behind closed doors, her stepfather is very abusive, in more ways than one, to Meggie and her mother Dinah.  After one horrific night of the abuse, Meggie decides that enough is enough.  Meggie has been out of touch with her biological father Joseph Foy, for a while now at the request of her mother and stepfather but she is determined to find him to tell him the truth about her home life. He’s not your average father, Joe ‘Boss’ Foy happens to be the President of the Death Dweller MC(motorcycle club).  She holds onto the hope that he will be her salvation.

Then you have the tall, dark haired, tattooed, muscular man who goes by the name of ‘Outlaw’, in his early thirties who has taken the lead in the Death Dweller MC(motorcycle club), after the former President is killed.  The world he is a part of consists of illegal dealings and acts of violence, tons of sexual fulfillment and drugs on a regular basis.  The Death Dweller’s have been going through a rough time adjusting to the new leadership and the demise of their former leader, who happened to be ‘Outlaw’s’ mentor.  When a young beautiful blonde with blue eyes that match his former mentor shows up at the Death Dweller’s MC property, he finds himself wanting to get rid of her but at the same time, a part of him is trying to pull her close.

This story definitely has some heavy situations but the characters  and the depth of the story keeps your interest from beginning to end. I liked how the author put focus on how easy people can be judgmental and how ‘looks can be deceiving.’  Meggie and Christopher(Outlaw) go through a roller coaster of emotions as they both fall for each other; her inexperience becomes alluring to someone like ‘Outlaw’ because all he’s known is fast women.  Christopher ‘Outlaw’ must make difficult choices when it comes to Meggie, the truth and his role as the new President of the Death Dwellers MC.  When Meggie finds out the truth about her father, will she be able to cope?  Can ‘Outlaw’ find out who’s been disloyal to him as the new leader of the Death Dweller’s MC before it’s too late? This is not your conventional love story but it’s definitely enticing and enthralling in it’s own right. I do recommend you check this novel out.  Excited to see what the rest of the novels in this series have in store.

MEMORABLE QUOTES & LINES FROM ‘MISLED’

Preface:  In each of us lives good and evil.  The conundrum we face as a society is recognizing those we pigeonhole as evil and those we applaud as good.  That the grossest mislabeling in the world, the greatest injustice.  Have we not heard of the fable of The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing?

Megan ‘Meggie’s’ thoughts: Meggie’s sense of outrage overwhelmed her at times and she couldn’t help but fight back but there was absolutely no winning with Thomas.  Unless they ended up on an outpost in Antarctica, he’d always find them and hurt them.  One day, he’d kill them if Meggie didn’t do something.

Big Joe ‘Boss’ Foy to Megan ‘Meggie’ Foy(daughter): “You need me, call. I’m a phone call away. Remember, you’re my daughter. No matter what that asshole says to you, don’t believe shit. The problem is his, not yours.”
Thomas’s words weren’t the problem. It was his actions.

Megan ‘Meggie’s’ thoughts upon seeing ‘Outlaw’ the first time:  The gun should be more important, but she’d never seen such a beautiful man before.  A beautiful, unclothed man.

‘Outlaw’s’ thoughts on Megan ‘Meggie’:  Every now and then, her eyes sparkled and snapped, fascinating him.  Her eyes were so much like Boss’s and Snake’s, hinting at the little hellcat hiding within the frightened girl.

Christopher ‘Outlaw’:  “Prez, I’m gonna take good care of your baby girl.  As long as she want me, I’m gonna lay the world at her feet.  I’d kill for her and I’d die for her.”

Death Dwellers MC book 1.5 - Misappropriate by Kathryn Kelly

The Synopsis and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading Misappropriate (Book #1.5 -Novella):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read ‘Misled(book #1)’***

‘Misappropriate’ is the second novel of the ‘Death Dwellers MC Series’ by author Kathryn Kelly.  I’m already two books deep into this series and I can honestly say that I’ve grown fond of these characters, as imperfect as they are.  The characters of this series are not sweet and proper but more rough and honest, and that is a nice change from many contemporary romance novels. Readers, you’ll be happy to know that you will be reading this novel through about five P.O.V.’s(point of views) which are from Megan ‘Meggie’ Foy, Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell, Dinah(Meggie’s mom), Lucas ‘Mortician’ Banks(of the D.D. MC’s) and Johnnie ‘John-Boy’ Donovan(Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ cousin).

The story picks up a little later on, after where book one of this series left off.  Megan ‘Meggie’ Foy is planning to have her big wedding day to the Death Dweller MC’s leader, Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell.  They have already sealed the deal legally but Meggie is set and determined to get her marriage to Christopher blessed in a church. Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ brothers in the MC ask Meggie if she wouldn’t mind getting away for a while so they could throw Christopher ‘Outlaw’ a bachelor party.  Finally giving in and agreeing, she decides to take a short trip back home to Seattle where her and her mother Dinah use to live with her abusive stepfather.  From that flight away, Meggie and Christopher’s path to wedded bliss and happiness with their baby boy CJ, will cross a direct path with a ruthless, evil person from Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell’s past.  Her happiness is teetering on the edge of destruction and she will do whatever she can to protect her son CJ, her love Christopher ‘Outlaw’ and herself from all of the dangers that are lurking around them.

Christopher ‘Outlaw’ Caldwell loves Megan with all of his heart but when you’re a tough as nails, bad-ass, who leads a well known motorcycle club, you have a reputation to live up to.  He doesn’t want to let Meggie or his newborn son, CJ, out of his sight because he always worries about his world crossing paths with his family.  Especially after what happened with his mother, he fights hard to protect the only good he has left in his life, Meggie and their son CJ.  When someone who he has loathed, hated and would kill without a second thought, makes contact with Meggie, his protectiveness grows.  It seems this person from Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ past is determined to scare Meggie and make ‘Outlaw’ see that he’d be better off not being so weak, the way he is with Meggie at his side.

This is another great story from the ‘Death Dwellers MC Series’ and it will leave you hoping that Christopher ‘Outlaw’ won’t become consumed with hate and rage against his rooted past.  The characters in this series continue to pull the reader into their world thanks to the author’s entertaining storyline. The only person that can work your nerve is Dinah, Megan’s mom.  Will Meggie get her dream wedding or will Christopher’s past destroy it all? Will Christopher ‘Outlaw’ come to terms that Meggie loves him no matter what or will the person from his past make him want to leave her side?  I do recommend this novel and this series. Excited to read the third book of this series because it gives more focus on another character I’ve grown fond of, Christopher’s cousin- ‘Johnnie Donovan’.  Between Christopher ‘Outlaw’ and his cousin Johnnie ‘John-Boy’, there is definitely a nice blend of hot alpha-male and protective love-makers all through out this great series! Check it out.  🙂

MEMORABLE QUOTES & LINES FROM ‘MISAPPROPRIATE’

Megan ‘Meggie’s thoughts:  To her, Christopher was everything she could ever want–a wonderful father and a very dedicated husband.  To everyone else…he was both feared and respected because of the way he carried himself and the way he handled things.

Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ thoughts:  He couldn’t even imagine laying a hand on no other bitch now that he had Megan.  She’d turned his life upside down from the day they met.  Not only did she stand up to him, she stood up for him.  Saw him as a man worthy of love.

A threat to Christopher ‘Outlaw’:  Megan is safe.  For now.  Until the best man wins, so if you want me so bad, fucking find me.

Megan ‘Meggie’ to Christopher ‘Outlaw’: “You are who you are.  Outlaw.  Cold-blooded killer.  MC President.  Tough ass.  Christopher.  Bad boy.  Sex god.  Husband.  Man I love.  And father…”

Christopher ‘Outlaw’s’ thoughts:  This. Was. NOT. Fucking. Happening. A. Fucking. Gain.
And on his motherfucking wedding day.

Narrator’s thoughts on Johnnie and Meggie:  Johnnie shifted next to Christopher, the light falling on his blond hair, sad resignation in his eyes.  He nodded and gave her the barest of smiles.  Meggie hoped he found a woman to love and who loved him just as fiercely in return.  No one deserved it more than Johnnie.

Death Dwellers MC book 2 - Misunderstood by Kathryn Kelly

The Synopsis and My ‘Blogging Readers Review’ after reading Misunderstood (Book #2):

***WARNING: Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read ‘Misled(book #1)’ or ‘Misappropriate(book #1.5)’***

‘Misunderstood’ is the third novel of the ‘Death Dwellers MC Series’ by author Kathryn Kelly.  I really admire how the author has written characters that you can’t help but grow attached to.  When they are at their worst or at their very best, you still want to see them come out on top and not defeated.  In the third novel, you will get to read this novel through about four P.O.V.’s(point of views) which come from newcomer Kendall Miller, handsome favorite-Johnnie ‘John-Boy’ Donovan, Lucas ‘Mortician’ Banks(of the D.D. MC’s) and Zoann Donovan(Christopher’s sister and Johnnie’s cousin).

You meet newcomer to the Death Dweller MC world, Kendall Miller.  She is tall, with long red-hair and long beautiful legs. She is sent to try and seduce ‘Outlaw’ at his own bachelor party at the club but ends up hooking up with his V.P.-cousin, Johnnie instead for one-hot-night.  Too bad for her, ‘Outlaw’ was her intended target.  She isn’t an evil woman set on ruining ‘Outlaw’s’ and Meggie’s relationship, she is set on trying to desperately do anything to help free her underage-teenage sister from being imprisoned by a very powerful man by the name of Logan Donovan. Kendall got into this predicament thanks to her now ex-boyfriend, who is the leader of the Torpedoes MC, by the name of ‘Spoon’.   She will do anything she has to in order to try and free her young sister before it’s too late and she’s lost in the world of dark, sexual-trade and abuse forever.

Johnnie ‘John-Boy’ Donovan is still hung up on his cousin ‘Outlaw’s Old Lady and wife, Megan ‘Megs’ and can’t find anyone to replace her from his fantasy thoughts.  That is until he spends one night fulfilling his pleasures, desires and needs with a tall, beautiful and mysterious red haired lady who showed up naked to his cousin’s bachelor party.  Johnnie was as gentle and erotic towards Kendall in a way that made a lasting impression on her mind, body and heart.  Unbeknownst to Johnnie, she was sent with an agenda.

‘Outlaw’ and Meggie leave to enjoy a couple of weeks or their honeymoon, leaving V.P. of the Death Dwellers MC, Johnnie in charge.  Johnnie just wants everything to go smooth and without a hitch but unfortunately, his time in his leader role would be anything but peaceful.  With a ghost from the past returning with evil-manipulation on his mind, the Death Dwellers’ will have to be ready to protect everything and everything a part of their biker family. Johnnie must bring out the ‘Iceman’ in order to get to the bottom of it all.

I’m still loving this series even though it get’s darker at times with each novel.  I think it’s the fact that the characters(Johnnie ‘John-Boy’, Megan ‘Meggie’, Christopher ‘Outlaw, Mortician, Val and everyone else associated with the Death Dwellers MC, are entertaining and intriguing characters. Then on top of that, you have gritty, hot and captivating storyline in each of these novels in this series.  Will Kendall be able to free her sister before it’s too late?  Can Johnnie handle everything that is thrown at him?  Find out who will survive the latest threat to the Death Dwellers by checking this great novel out.  I do recommend it and this series. The warning below is posted because some readers may find this gripping tale a little to dark for their taste. But I have to add, if a dark-gritty story doesn’t faze you, definitely read this novel series.

Johnnie ‘John-Boy’s’ thoughts:  Now, everyone will discover I’m not the perfect, easy-going man I project myself to be.  They will see that evil lurks from within -my family and my heart.  Because my family is different.  We are founded and forged in heartache and betrayal.  Unless I intercede, so will we be destroyed by the same.

Kendall’s thoughts:  She’d thought she’d finally found a man who understood her and would protect her at any and all costs.  But, no, ‘Spoon’ had cheated on her, lied to her, and stolen her heart and soul -her little sister -and handed her over to him.

Johnnie’s thoughts:  The purest evil left in the world.  Logan Donovan.  The man who’d tormented Christopher for his entire childhood.  Their grandfather.  And the founder of the Death Dwellers’ MC.

Johnnie to Kendall:  “You do that for me -you trust me enough to give me the words to figure all this out -and I’ll do everything in my power to keep you safe.”
He backed away from her, his eyes fierce. “Give my last breath to do it.”

Mortician to Johnny ‘John-Boy’:  “You adaptable. A GQ looking asshole. A educated, proper talking snob. A patched-in member of the club. A motherfucker who can slit your fuckin’ throat and shoot your fuckin’ head off.”-(Mortician)
“I agree,”Val said. “Chameleon motherfuckers like you dangerous, John Boy.”-(Val)

Megan to Kendall: “The club that Christopher loves, Johnnie, all of them, is on the verge of collapsing because of a man who came back to life.”
“We can be friends. We can be anything you want. First, we have to save them. My Christopher and your Johnnie.”
