The Synopsis for ‘Being A Jett Girl’:

How did I become a Jett Girl?

Hell if I know, one moment I’m working at the premiere spot for creepy men and sloppy drunks and the next, I’m being whisked away by a moody ex-boxer and a mysterious man in a suit that overlooks his girls from the third floor of the Lafayette Club.

It wasn’t easy but now that I’m a Jett Girl, there is only one thing on my mind and that is Jett Colby.

He has captured me, stolen my heart and entwined my soul into his at such an alarming rate that it seems almost difficult to breathe without him holding me, touching me, kissing me…

He won’t give me his heart though, he won’t let me own every last inch of him and not because he doesn’t want to, but because he doesn’t want to jeopardize my ambiguity.

Because of this, there is only one thing standing in my way when it comes to completely and utterly living my life with Jett Colby and it’s called Lot 17.

My ‘Blogging Reader’s ARC Review’ after reading ‘BEING A JETT GIRL (The Bourbon Series book #2)’:

Author Meghan Quinn continues to dish out a great storyline in the second novel of the Bourbon Series and readers will definitely have a lot to look forward to with Being A Jett Girl. The many hot, yet sometimes turbulent characters, apart from a few corrupt players from Jett’s rich world, slowly send the main characters though a tailspin. The story continues with the main two P.O.V.’s(point of views) from Goldie and Jett. Readers can still expect to be given the entertaining mix of steamy scenes, hilarious sarcasm and moments that will pull at your heartstrings.

Goldie is now officially one of the girls, The Jett Girls that is.  She has been working her butt off to prove herself to everyone and to herself, that she deserves to be there. The other reason she wanted to fight hard to stay was because she has completely become infatuated by the sexy and mysterious Jett Colby. They have a connection that around them sees but there is always something keeping them from allowing it to draw them closer in many ways.

Jett Colby is confused and entranced by the funny and sexy Goldie, known also as “Lo” which is short for “Little One”, the pet name Jett gave her.  Jett wants Goldie in so many ways but there are forces from the corrupt people in one part of his life that are determined to threaten his success and anyone Jett cares about. We get to see new sides of Jett and learn so much more about this sexy, mysterious and loveable character. From what makes him tick to what may be the few things that could break such a controlled man.

How can we forget Jett’s long time best friend, Kace. His character begins to share a little more about his back story and why he’s so hard on Goldie most of the time. There is one moment of the story with Kace, that honestly was one of the hottest and “steamiest” scenes in this story. I’m sure as you read the story you’ll know exactly which part it is.  Goldie witnessed that moment, just so you know.  We also get to see more about who Kace is and his loyalties as well as some glimpses at his emotional side.

Then there is a new character introduced by the name of Diego Muenez, who fits right into the alpha-sexy-male world alongside Jett and Kace.  He’s a loyal friend of Jett’s that was also another person Jett helped along the way. He seems like a great addition to the lineup of great characters. And we can’t forget to mention the other beautiful Jett Girls, who’ve all become close friends to Goldie. They definitely have their moments in the story, especially Pepper. Readers will also get a little glimpse of Lyla, Goldie’s old roommate and long time friend, who I have a feeling will have a larger role tied into the story in the next novel of the Bourbon Series. (Just a guess…)

Meghan Quinn has written a great continuation to this series! There is a pleasing flow to the story and the characters are always so much fun to read about and follow the story with. You won’t be anywhere near disappointed with Being A Jett Girl and where the story takes us. Will Jett finally let Goldie get closer to him emotionally or will he keep pushing her away? Will Goldie give up on Jett? What is going on with Kace? Who is threatening to ruin everything for Jett and those he cares about? There is so much going on in this story and it sets us up for the third and final book of the Bourbon Series which will be titled “Forever A Jett Girl.” Can’t wait to check that one out. Till then, I highly recommend Being A Jett Girl and this entire series.

Reader Warning: The story contains sexual content, sexual-language at times and mature situations.  Recommended only for readers – ages 18+.

How I imagined Goldie, Jett, Kace, Diego, Rex and The Jett Girls while reading ‘BEING A JETT GIRL’:

Jett’s thoughts:…even though Goldie was etching a hole in my black heart, I still had my boundaries and sleeping in the same bed was a boundary I wouldn’t be crossing. There was a reason why no one but me had seen my bedroom because there is a line in my life that no one is allowed to cross, not even a sassy, foul-mouthed, honey-haired girl, no matter how much she plagued my mind.

Goldie’s thoughts:  Kace stood in the middle of the shower, naked and totally lost in the water dripping down his body. His hands were running through his hair, showing off his well-defined muscles as well as the tattoo that was still a mystery to me. It was along his rib cage but was in such a loopy cursive that I had a really hard time reading it. His muscles flexed as he moved with the water and droplets ran off his skin like the sexiest damn rain I’ve ever seen.

Jett’s thoughts:  I gritted my teeth from the protectiveness Kace had for Goldie. I hated it, fucking hated it. I was the one who was supposed to protect her, not Kace and every time he showed one ounce of concern for her, it grated on my nerves.

Goldie’s thoughts:  I thought about my needs but how did I explain to a man who was practically emotionally unavailable that I needed to be held, to be touched in a way that only a lover could, that I wanted him but I didn’t want the Bourbon Room, the one thing that was non-negotiable. It’s not like I didn’t always want the Bourbon Room, I just needed Jett, the man Jett, not the dominant Jett.

Jett’s thoughts: If I brought Goldie out to be by my side at these dreadful events, then I would be nervous if people assumed she was a Jett Girl, especially the men. She was a beacon in the club, a favorite and I didn’t blame the men, she was absolute perfection. I wanted to protect her but I wanted to make her happy as well.

Goldie’s thoughts:  “I promise you when I say, you have nothing to worry about. I’m yours, Jett.”
He nodded his head and the vulnerable Jett that I was beginning to love pressed his forehead against mine. There was something so special about a powerful man being able to drop his facade and break down in front of you. It made him real and it only made me fall for the man even more.

Goldie and Kace: “Have you ever wanted to punch someone so hard in the face that your fist blows right through their skull?” I asked while eyeing him up and down.
“No, but I’ve wanted to fuck someone so hard I would get them out of my system.” His heated gaze traveled very slowly from my legs up to my breasts where they lingered and then to my face.

Jett to Goldie:  “You’re more than just another Jett Girl to me, Goldie. You’re a bright spot in the dull life that I’ve been living, you make me feel like I’m not alone anymore and your laugh, your smile, they’re so goddamn infectious that I find myself losing every last wall I’ve built while I’m around you. You’re a challenge, you’re a little spitfire with a mouth that could bring a sailor to his knees and the best thing about all of this is that for some godforsaken reason, you chose me.”

Author Q&A with Meghan Quinn

Thank you to Author Meghan Quinn for taking a moment to do a Q&A with me in preparation for your upcoming novel release of ‘BEING A JETT GIRL.’

Q: Being A Jett Girl is the second novel of your sexy and amazing Bourbon Series. If you had to choose between Jett and Kace who would you choose as your favorite and why? They are both sexy, protective, alpha-males and it is honesty hard to choose. (Great job on making readers fall in love with both btw!) 🙂

Meghan Quinn:  Oye, I have to choose? I don’t know if I can. Kace is such a damaged soul with a big heart, his story is playing around in my head, just dying to get out. And Jett, well, he’s a dominating man with a heart of gold who is just trying to find happiness. They both pull at my heart strings. I will say this, when I started writing the first book, I had a huge crush on Kace and I’m not sure if it’s because I see Stephen Amell as Kace or if I just love his character. The matter is still up for debate.

Q: While we are on the topic of sexy male characters you’ve brought to life in your books, which is your favorite male character from any of the other books you’ve written and what makes him your favorite? I love Mason and Jake from your Love and Sports Series as well as Jett and Kace from the Bourbon Series.

Meghan Quinn:  Hmmm, I love Mason. He wasn’t even supposed to be the center of my Love and Sports series but somehow he managed to do so. He’s goofy, quick whited and sexy as hell but I don’t think he’s my favorite out of all of my men. I believe that title goes to Brady Matthews from my Hot-Lanta series. He was the first hero I ever wrote and there is something about your first that you just can’t let go. He’s sweet, sexy, athletic and one hell of a romp in the bedroom. Can’t go wrong with Brady Matthews.

Q: Back to The Bourbon Series: Can we expect a love interest for Kace? If you don’t want to give anything away, can you atleast let us know if there will be some tension between Jett and Kace?

Meghan Quinn:  There is a love interest for Kace, besides Goldie :). You will see a sneak peak of that love interest in Being a Jett Girl and a little bit of development in the third book but when it comes to his story, that will be told in his own book. Tension between Jett and Kace…when is there not? There is always tension between the two alpha males but when it comes down to it, they will always be friends. They are all each other has.

Q: How many novels can we expect to look forward to from The Bourbon Series and will they mostly center around Jett and Goldie the most?

Meghan Quinn:  There will be three novels altogether; Becoming a Jett Girl, Being a Jett Girl and Forever a Jett Girl. All three books will be centered around Goldie and Jett’s story. After those books are finished, there will be two spin off books, possibly three. One book will be for Kace, the other will be for a new character named Diego, who you will meet in the second book and there might be a possible third book to tell Pepper and Babs story, after being a Jett Girl.

Q: I’ve read(and have fallen head-over-heels) both your Love and Sports Series and The Bourbon Series, as well as the characters in both. As the author, which character would you say has been: a) the most fun to write? b) Who do you think has been the most complex character and why?

Meghan Quinn:  Good question. So, A), I would say Goldie has been the most fun to write because she is so much like me it’s scary. I have been able to just say what’s on my mind without even thinking about it, which has provided some great entertainment. B) Piper would be my most complex out of those two series because even though she was a very strong and confident woman, she faltered once she met Mason and that was hard to write, to match those feelings with words.

Q: Which character of the Love and Sports Series or The Bourbon Series would you make your partner in a game like Survivor and which would you hate if you knew them in real life?

Meghan Quinn:  Partner in a game like Survivor, probably Kace because he could beat the crap out of any wild animals that came my way and I know he would provide for my blonde-haired self. Plus, he would be good island eye candy. Who would I hate in real life? Probably, Brooke and only because I didn’t like her at first. I really had to work at giving her a good story. Sometimes I develop characters and in the midst of writing, I think, God you’re so annoying and if you don’t get your crap together, you will be killed off!

Q: Future Novel question: You write such enthralling stories in the genres of contemporary romance, new adult and adult. Can readers and fans expect you to delve into other completely different genres in the future? Or will you stick with what you completely rule in.:)

Meghan Quinn:  hahaha, completely rule in, that’s sweet. I will stick with Contemporary Romance for the most part, dive into some Young Adult and the Bourbon Series touches upon some Erotica but those are the only genres I really feel passionate about right now.

Q: Fun Dream-Cast Time: If The Bourbon Series were to ever be optioned for film(O.M.G…Yes, please!), who would be your dream cast for the characters in the film adaptation? (especially Jett, Goldie, Kace and the other Jett Girls) 🙂

Meghan Quinn:  God, this would be a dream come true. i would love to see someone bring the Lafayette club to life and Kitten’s Castle, that would be amazing, plus New Orleans is such a great location, it would be amazing! Dream cast, oye, I don’t know. Let’s see…

Kace – Stephen Amell (dead set on that)
Jett – Chris Hemsworth (good God he’s hot)
Goldie – Jennifer Lawrence
Pepper – Blake Lively
Babs – Scarlett Johansson
Tootse – Anna Faris
Francy – Jessica Biel

Q: What songs inspired you the most while writing Being A Jett Girl? Or simply, what songs can you absolutely not be without right now?

Meghan Quinn:  Anything Burlesque-ish for sure when it comes to writing the Bourbon Series. Right now, I can’t get enough of Sam Smith. I listen to his CD on repeat for hours. Frankly, it’s a little embarrassing.

Q: What is currently on Meghan Quinn’s must read list?

Meghan Quinn:  I don’t really have a must read list, I have a kindle full of books that I keep one- clicking and I must sort through. I read pretty much anything that I’m in the mood for. It all depends. I read a couple of rocker series before I started my recent book I’m writing so I could get in the mood. Boring answer, I know.

Q: Which authors and books would you say inspire you and made you decide to become an author? And, have you had the opportunity to meet any authors you admire?

Meghan Quinn:  Marie Force is probably the biggest inspiration for me because she taught me that you don’t have to tell a story from one POV, you can play around with multiple ones and twist and turn your characters lives together. I haven’t had the chance to meet her, but if I ever did, I would give her a nice tit squeeze. B>>

Q: Please give me 1 to 5 word responses for the following. First thing that pops into your mind. Have fun…
