My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading ‘DAMNABLE GRACE’ (Hades Hangmen Series book #5):
*May contain Character Spoilers(Not story Spoilers) if you haven’t read the previous novels of the Hades Hangmen Series.*
The completely dark and gritty Hades Hangmen MC Series continues with the fifth installment titled “Damnable Grace” by the always amazing and talented author Tillie Cole. This series continues to deliver such depth, raw-emotional dialogue, and a captivating story-line that can break your heart one moment, then revive it fully the next. As always, I will do my best not to ruin any of the plot twists or spoil any of the big moments for you readers. It’s best and more fulfilling to experience it all on your own. This novel follows one of the wild Hangmen trio known as “AK” to his MC brothers and it also follows the cult sister Phebe. The story is written from the three character’s P.O.V.’s (point of views) of Phebe, Xavier “AK” Deyes, and some from Flame.
The Hades Hangmen MC Brothers are out to rescue the sister of one of their old ladies and to bring down the the twisted group who has imprisoned them. The MC must face off against the ruthless Aryan Brotherhood clan that has descended to their part of Texas. AK can’t seem to get the beautiful cult female with the red hair out of his mind. As he and the other Hades Hangmen MC brothers dig deeper into finding out where Phebe is, they discover the very dark place they’ll have to go to in order to bring them down and rescue her. How can they do this dangerous mission without suffering too many risks to the MC? As they plan, it seems likely that they’ll have to infiltrate in order to bring their sick enemies down.
Phebe had one duty for the commune which was to lure and entice new men to join the cult by seducing them. That was until the cult gave Phebe to their business associate by the name of Meister. The evil and violent commander Meister now owns her in his controlling and terrorizing ways. All Phebe can do is hope that those that she loves are far away from this hell. Will Phebe ever escape her current hell or will she die under the pain she lives daily? How will her past touch her present life and will the truth of that past be destroyed along side of her?
Flame is still Flame. The only person that has been able to break through his dark exterior is Maddie. His newfound little brother Asher means a lot to him since he was found but Flame isn’t familiar with normal feelings and expressions of those feelings. He continues to struggle to get closer to his brother, his only family outside of his biker brothers. With the troubles the Hangmen find themselves facing, he may face that moment. Will he be able to?
The Hades Hangmen MC are violent and vengeful when the situation requires it but now they must face off with something worse. A clan of cruel and brutal racist abusers who see the MC as an enemy. This dark Contemporary Romance will leave you holding on tight to your feelings and take you on a gripping ride! 😉 There is a special little bonus at the end, so definitely be on the look out after Damnable Grace ends. I highly recommend this novel and series. These characters and the story-line constantly grip the readers attention and never lets go until the end. “Damnable Grace” is very dark, heartbreaking and touches on twisted situations but the emotional depth intertwined keeps you wanting to continue their journey. Reader Warning: It touches on sensitive topics such as abuse, sexual assault and some brutal violence. This is such an enthralling series! It’s definitely a Must read! ❤

I gasped as I stared at the girl in the mirror. Her skin was dull and gray.
Red, I thought as I stared back at my reflection. AK had called me “Red“.
The color of my hair.
I startled at the brief flicker of a smile on my lips.
Not Phebe. Not “whore”… but the sheer simplicity of the name Red.
Phebe and AK: “My freckles. My millions of freckles stand out against my pale skin like neon lights in the fire’s glow. I always disliked them.”
“Look up. Look up at the sky.” I said again. She did.
“There are so many stars,” she whispered.
“Imagine the sky without them.”
“Why would I do that? They make the sky so pretty. They are the reason people stargaze. To see their beauty.”
“Think of your face like the sky. The freckles, the stars, only make the sight more worth looking at.”
AK’s thoughts: And with every mile made, I let me hatred of Meister build inside me- fuel to this fucking mission. Or massacre, I thought to myself. I’d make him pay, strip his flesh and slice through his guts. And as I looked to my left and right, Flame and Viking by my side, I knew they’d be with me too.
